Murmurs they may be willing to deal for around £30m

Surely with them going out of the CL their bargaining position has been weakened. If I'm remembering correctly there was some reporting over the weekend that Mendes was optimistic that they would come down from their 50m asking price, surely that's all the more likely now that they've missed out on CL revenue.

Fingers crossed those murmurs are true, it would be incredible to sign the striker that ITK has indicated is Jose's first choice along with Bale and Reguilon. Would be close to a 10/10 window IMO.

Too expensive, for a player tats had one good season in terms of scoring, the risk is too much for that price if he was 15-18M you could understand the risk but 30M is maybe too much, but who knows if JM really really wants him? if so dl may do?

Yup. If 30m is actually what they are now looking for, I'd expect Levy to start off at something like £17-18m and eventually get something done at say £23-25m. A lot probably depends on Mendes's role in it. Sounds like he has strong ties with Benfica and if Vinicius is the one Mourinho really wants, I'd expect he'll grease the wheels and get it over the line.

It's not. It's from TVI24 news broadcast that was this evening. There was a local commentator saying his source informed him Mourinho wants Vinicius.

I want Wout (or Edouard) but this guy looks like Jose's number one target so I have a good feeling this will now happen with Benfica needing to sell. Looks like he could be a handful too, just not quite as imposing a big Wout.
