Am I the only one that wouldn't mind Prandelli coming in?

Did wonders at Fiorentina despite having an average squad, and a points deduction in his second season. Won Serie A coach of the year, and beat AC to 4th in his third year with a shitty team.

Has transformed Italy into a real force, and nearly won Euro 2012, with a squad nowhere near as good as Germany/Spain etc....

Would love De Boer too, but definetely would not be disappointed if we did get Prandelli.

Agreed, but I don't think it is. Would be disruptive to both the club and Italy's national team right before the WC. No sense in the timing of that announcement whatsoever.
Yep, I dont doubt Baldini is working on it though, secures his future for another few years if his buddy comes in. Much rather have LVG, FDB, Poyet or Pochettino over Prandelli, something about Italian Manager and Spurs just doesnt sit well with me. I know Prandelli is more attack minded, but the 3 at the back thing, the less than amazing Club record just puts me off. Saying that I'm very happy with Sherwood currently, heres hoping he can keep up our current form.

I'm sure he is 'in talks' along with Van Der Gaal but I doubt we will make a change if Tim finishes top four. It just doesn't make financial sense - and we all know Levy thinks of the pennies first! In his mind why employ a manager on big wages to get us top four if we can pay someone a fraction of the cost to do the same thing.

The old confusion between value and price.
Would rather stick with Timolini anyway. Sniff.

I love prandelli. He is my choice if we decide that sherwood isnt the route to go. Im really enjoying watching our progress under tim but a lot can happen in 12 games. Im hoping he is successful as that means we would have likely qualified for champs league.

But should he fail, then Prandelli is certainly the man. He did an unbelievable job at Fiorentina and has followed that up with great work with italy.

He is such a top guy too. He would wow everyone with his charm and charisma. Would certainly win us a few friends in the media. Plus his brand of football fits in with what we like to see and he is tactically excellent.

Yup, and looks good in a suit on the sideline as well. An all-important factor.

Bit worried that LVG might not come since Barca's current manager (Martino) is under huge scrutiny. But I believe he burned down the bridges with them after they sacked him in 2003.

They will look at four people imo, Enrique(who they tried to hire), De Boer, Bielsa or Simeone.

If LVG is who we are going for then I'd be more worried that Utd end up sacking Moyes and go for him than barca.

Should be a few managers available after the World Cup so if TS is gone then I think there are better options than Prandelli.

De Boer fits Barcelona well. To be honest, with how frustrated we got with AVB's style of play, I don't see why De Boer would be a good appointment, they play extremely similar styles of football.

At the same time I wish Barcelona would get Bielsa. Couldn't even imagine the kind of football they'd play then, would be amazing to watch. Could be a disaster or could be one of the best teams ever.

Back to us, Prandelli would be a great appointment. Worked wonders with Fiorentina and has guided Italy and their aging, mediocre talent pool to great heights. Good with the media and plays good football. Would definitely take him, not sure how likely it is though.

No way they would entertain Bielsa imo, even more so after his disappointing spell at Bilbao but Barca play a certain way and that tends to run through all their teams and Bielsa has his own ideas and that wouldn't work and also I can't see his personality sitting well at a club like Barca.

At the moment they seem to be supportive of Martino although yesterdays result might raise a few rumblings. I guess any further poor results will raise a clamour for his head but I think they would prefer to have head coach stability for a while. I imagine the CL will be the key. Win that this season and he'll be bullet proof even if they don't win La Liga

The thing Bielsa was always going to that last season and it was hardly surprising as for his style of play, the people higher up wanted something different from Pep and hence they hired Tata but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment
