Bit worried that LVG might not come since Barca's current manager (Martino) is under huge scrutiny. But I believe he burned down the bridges with them after they sacked him in 2003.

Then stop worrying, well about Barcelona, at least. LVG has stated that, if he can't get a job in the PL, he'll retire to his home in Portugal. The biggest worry should be Man United, in my opinion. That said, Moyes was Alcy Ferguson's choice, and I can't see the boardroom at United giving up on something Fergie suggested, so quickly?

Agreed. If he gets full control over a full transfer window with adequate backing, and still fails, then there will be problems. But until then, I'd be very surprised to see Moyes not at the helm in August. LvG's also shown what he can do with the biggest clubs, he'd probably love one last challenge with a strong club with big ambitions yet in a moderate degree of disarray. He's exactly what we need, and I think we're exactly what he could want.

What's more likely imo is that he'll want to come and we'll decide to stick with Tim. Pretty typical thing for the dummies that run things to think is a good idea. Then we'll be terrible next season and sack Tim anyway.
