Anyone think it's a bit suss that Lloris wasn't in the squad?
1 year left on contract, also spurs Twitter seem to be pushing Gollini a fair amount

Son with his back to goal is horrible. We need a CF.

Skipp first half was too far on the right and also too advanced, that's not his game.

The chances of us having a senior striker available for selection for the first few games of the season are basically zero, right?

Pretty amazing that we still have this chronic lack of strikers at the club. It's literally been years with no alternative to Kane.

Some ppl with their first half comments need to look at themselves and ask do I really want to support this club anymore.
We are embarking on a season of change, with or without Kane, and times will sometimes be hard.
The negativity that spews from some is toxic.
Couldn't care how many negative comments I get for its the truth - if they were constructive in any way then no issue.
Hard not to be negative about that 1st half in fairness. We are still looking at many of the same players who were not good enough last season, never mind this one, Doherty and Dier in particular. I think the fear is they will remain as fixtures this yr, but we were missing a good few today and hopefully plenty more transfer business b4 season starts.
Much better 2nd half, bit lucky with both goals, but very promising from Gollini and Skip in particular.

Yep. 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 1 per goal. So far we've had Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea and Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham. currently Chelsea 8, Spurs 3, Arsenal 1. Therefore if we win while scoring two (or draw 4-4) we share the trophy with Chelsea, if we win while scoring at least 3 (or draw 5-5 or higher) we win outright, if we lose while conceding 4 Arsenal share the trophy with Chelsea, if we lose while conceding 5 plus Arsenal win outright, any other result and Chelsea win outright. Simples!
I can hardly contain my excitement

Great result that. Scarlett is so young yet so close to the first team which is brilliant. I've slated Alli and Winks so often but fair play to Winks that is one step into the he could do something for us book.

Really like how positive Nuno was. Infact Spurs TV was very refreshing from the sky sports rubbish , good insight from Allen as an ex Pro and the commentator as well. Presenter seems like a random spurs loving bloke too young (naturally around my age) but does a very good job and comes across well with his enthusiasm.

What does everyone think? Happy I paid for that, then again it could've been a lot worse but Gollini showed very good promise so enough positives and a bit of a wake up call at the same time (Doherty ?)

Meanwhile Villa sign Ings for £25 Million with the minimum of fuss, in fact none.

To think, we used to have 4 very good strikers on the books at one time, not too many moons ago.

Good interview here. I think these higher intensity friendlies might well do us some good. Will definitely help Nuno identify what is needed that’s for sure.

Going by the Transfer thread it sounds like they gave him the exact contract he wanted. Not to mention that being first choice for the club in 11th and playing in the Premier League most weeks is probably more attractive than being second choice for the club in 7th and playing in the Conference League most weeks.

It was there first 11 first half , we were missing some big players in GLC, TN and HK . Then the keeper , not first choice centre backs etc . We hung on and grew in second half . They brought on sone top players from the bench but we continued to grow in the the game . Good run out with new players and other first team squad members to come in to the fray .

Just realised that Mendy played his debut for Chelsea vs us last season in the Carabao Cup. Gollini made his debut for us vs Chelsea today.

The halftime segment was really enjoyable with Scarlett, Whiteman and Skipp answering questions. Laughed when they were asked who was the first 1st team player to leave a mark on them in training amd both Scarlett and Skipp said Coco lol
