I have you correct, doesn't offer much in build up play but you just know he's one of those players who can come off the bench to offer something different.

Also probably doesn't help him when the striker he attempts to link up with is completely selfish and void of any passing ability, Ade on form would probably help to make him a better player.

Would really only like to see him come on as an impact sub.

Great at timing runs into the boxes and getting on the end of moves, havent seen much else to suggest he could be a successful number 10 or wide man for us.

As much as i agree with your statement about Defoe, i would say he probably has a better first touch and pass then Dempsey has.

and good at not being trusted over a guy who hasn't scored a goal in 10 games

I think the thing with Dempsey is that at Fulham he didn't play against teams that sit back and park the bus every week. In some of the bigger games when teams attack us more, Dempsey has actually looked pretty good and scored some goals, but I don't think he is a player who is good at breaking teams down.

I'm really hoping I have to eat some more humble pie but I don't think I'm going to ever be convinced that he is anything but bang average. I can't help but agree with the bindippers that they got lucky missing out on Dempsey and then picking up Sturridge instead.
