I really don't think we'd turn our nose up. He may not have won anything in the end, but Poch did so much for us and will always be loved at Spurs. Hopefully Mourinho grows us, Poch returns and proves to be our Fergie after all.Im very excited for a few years from now when Poch wins a few trophies wherever, wants to come home and finish what he started and Mourinho wears out his welcome and SC, in typical SC fashion, turns it nose up on Poch. It’ll be funny to witness
Unlike some of the mugs who follow us I'm not a hypocrite. EVERY SINGLE ONE of us were laughing at him when it blew up for him at both CFC & MUFC, we pretty much all criticised his brand of Jurassic park football and I don't recall anyone of you pining for him then. The fact plenty of these hypocrites have now bent over for him with no lube and hang of this twats every word is embarrassing. Have some shame. It's George Graham all over again.
Yes MP had to go but you replace him with someone who fits the style/profile of our club, not a has been who's finished at the elite level (CL) of the game. Oh well each to their own...

I used to back Poch when he used to come out with the comments about the FA and League cup and not prioritising it, I admired his ambition but in hindsight I think he could have been a bit more realistic and less honest. When you come out with statements like that in public (to be fair they were twisted a little but even so) it just gives the players an excuse to lose focus and not give 100% in the cups.
Mauricio Pochettino opens up on Tottenham sacking and coaching vision
Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed that the Spurs hierarchy did not accept his managerial vision which led to his sacking. The Argentinian was dismissed last November.www.dailymail.co.uk
Nothing bad in those quotes at all.
Diplomatic as ever from Poche. It was great, something for everyone; for those that want to blame Levy there wasn't a little quote about not sharing the same vision; for those that want to blame Poch; he admitted his mistakes. Everyone's a winner
Diplomatic as ever from Poche.
I'd love to know what his vision was though. Part of me thinks that he wanted to take a few steps back and rebuild again with younger players that he could mould in the same way he did before and that's what "the club" disagreed with. For him to suddenly be demanding £70m superstar signings seems too much of a departure from his history to me.
It's nice to hear from him and I'd like to see him back in management soon (although I'd much rather it abroad)
It’s sounding very much like that, complete rebuild. Agreed.Quotes from the Mirror report
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mauricio-pochettino-admits-expected-more-22457292
"Only the one who wins or the one who exceeds expectations? After the Champions League final, four years in the top four, two years without signings ... a different management strategy was needed.
"Sometimes the vision of a coaching staff is not accepted by the club management. We knew what could happen.
"You need to fall, be down to then go up, but Tottenham made the decision to separate us after five and a half years. I understand that it is a long time."
Sounds like Poch was thinking of a complete rebuild from scratch as he believe he had gone as far as he can with this bunch and a few years out of the title or CL picture . This did not sit well with the board I guess given we just build a new stadium and had loans to pay off.
