Like I said, we have some tough games coming up. Bissouma is a yellow away from another suspension. Lo Celso has hardly played, I'd rather he get some minutes against Palace than throwing him in against the Chavs. Sarr and Porro both came off last night (but appear to be available) and Son is still nursing his groin.
He's collected six yellows in nine games. It'll be a miracle if he gets through the next ten games without one more. He's been so important for us he needs to play. Getting a win tonight is vital. Anyway, hopefully Bentancourt will be available soon.

I'm sure he's been spoken to about the stupid yellows for dissent and simulation.

Agreed. It's going to take a big effort for him not to collect another yellow. I really want to smash the Chavs and Biss gives us the best chance of doing that, we should have enough to beat Palace without him.

Srsly though, unless he gets the card situation sorted, he'll limit own ceiling somewhat, and the trust of managers.

More than a card every two games is ridiculous.

Just trust the defenders and goalkeeper behind you if someone goes past, don't dive in needlessly and don't get in the ref's face at any point. Let others do all that work for the time being.

At the end of last season, I was looking for reasons not to watch the games because of the dreadful football. Now I'm genuinely bummed I won't be able to watch the game tonight as I have to work.

That's the Ange effect for you. My money is on a 2-1 win tonight.

Im unusually very calm about tonight.

Can’t work out if it’s because I think we’re a great team or I’m expecting the inevitable slip up 🤷🏻‍♂️

He had a couple of stupid ones, but he is playing in a high risk position where he is going to pick them up. That is the role is being asked to play. We just need to try and plan around it.

I don't have the receipts to hand, but my recollection is that many or even most of his yellows have been for little pull backs and stuff like that, rather than heavy fouls. He should be able to reduce those. It's not like he's always diving in with hard challenges and getting booked for that.

Oh and if you're going to dive, don't make it obvious.

Ok I’m nervous about tonight. Just thought I’d share. Now I will scurry off and hide under the covers lol

I want our strongest team out and to my mind that includes Bissouma and Udogie. It goes to show how this season has rocked my world though because I’d be happy with Davies and Holjbjerg starting too - whatever Ange decides I’m happy.

I understand what you're saying and hope you're right. I've just been a Spurs fan for too long and never underestimate our ability to get over-confident and screw up the "easy" games.

But it's fair to say Ange seems to do what's necessary for every game. So I'm totally relaxed now. I wish.

Just need to make sure he times the 10 yellow, 2 game suspension with the AFCON.

I've got 30+ years - many of them during those emotionally vital formative years of childhood - following this club. I don't think I'll ever not be nervous about a Spurs game on some level. 🤣

I’m at the 40 mark so I can say it doesn’t change!
