I would like to see Lo Celso start to give Maddison a bit of a break. Lo Celso needs game time and we have a pretty tough run coming up, it would be nice to see him get some match sharpness. With Bissouma back I would also start Hojbjerg and give Sarr a rest. Where we have the depth we should use it.

You think coming on for 20 minutes when a game is won is the same as starting and playing for 70 minutes?
Yes if it's 20 minutes when the game is already won. In an ideal world, if you are trying get game time into players, much better they get their touch and confidence when the pressure on them is not as intense and the heat is out of the game.

Would quite like to see Johnson or Gil start ahead of Richy tonight. CP will probably pack the box and be very unadventurous especially with Olise and Eze out so I’d prefer someone more technical on the ball then Richy out wide.

It’s a big game for us because pretty much every other good side will be expecting 3 points. Everyone near us or expected to be (so we can include chelsea) has a home game against a bottom half team except Newcastle away at wolves and the Manchester derby. Win first and watch if any drop points will be a lovely weekend

It's mad how in a few short months Ange has made me excited for games again. Can't wait to watch us tonight whereas some times towards end of last season I was actively arranging other things so that I wasn't at home and would feel compelled to watch us. I was that disconnected from the club I just couldn't watch it but now under Ange and with players looking engaged I can't wait for the next match.

Possibly the maddest post I’ve ever seen on this forum

I thought Richarlison played well Monday so would be harsh to drop him

Dimitar Berbatov has made a prediction: https://www.football365.com/news/ma...-derby-prediction-liverpool-tottenham-arsenal

“Crystal Palace vs Spurs is an interesting game. It’s a tricky one because Crystal Palace can surprise teams if they’re in the mood for it. Spurs, on the other hand, need to continue this trend of winning games. The real character of the team will be judged when they lose their first Premier League game. That will be the moment when we see how they bounce back. Unless they go one better and go the whole season unbeaten… imagine that, imagine that!

“Listen, it’s going to be like this. Spurs will win the title in their first season without Harry Kane and go unbeaten. Take that Arsenal! Everybody will be like ‘I can die peacefully.’

“I will go for a Spurs win because I want the fairy-tale to continue. To that, the only thing they need to do is stay concentrated. Nothing else, they need to stay concentrated. Prediction – 0-2.”

Friday's are already long enough but this feels like the longest morning ever.

Evening kick offs absolutely drag.

I'd argue we would miss Biss against a team like Palace more (who are quite good defensively and might sit back) than Chelsea tbf

I'm definitely expecting him to play
I don’t agree. Chelsea press aggressively and high with a mobile energetic midfield. We’ll need bissouma to beat their press and spring attacks

Play him in both and tell him not to be a berk and get another yellow

surely he can go one game without getting a card

It's not really about resting, it more about getting bench players game time.
It's more about winning each game at a time with our best 11. We have no need to give others playing time, it's not like they don't have training.
Worst case scenario is we rotate and lose so why risk it!

This. His yellows are all for yelling at a ref or pulling a guys jersey at midfield.

he better damn not get a yellow for yelling at a ref and just needs to chill when defending on the break.

Go with strongest available XI. If Bissouma cannot go one game without being booked then that's something he needs to seriously work on.

i just can't wait to watch us again.

tempted to tell all my staff to knock off at lunchtime and we get down the pub.
You know its a Friday, right? Leaving early would mean leaving before ive actually got in to work

Always feel like we get screwed with Palace away, always night games where the atmosphere is better and itll be rocking on a Friday night

But I have absolutely no fear watching this team, I know they will give it a really good go and if it doesnt happen for us, it wont be for the want of trying

What a lovely way to feel about your football club

In one of our worst seasons for a long while we still beat them 4-0 at Selhurst in January under the lights. And that was with both Elise and Eze, as well as Zaha, starting.

We shouldn't take them lightly, but on paper with current form and injuries, we should be beating them tonight.

Now that Kane's gone and we don't have to listen to Berba telling him he's got to leave every few months, I'm free to like him again! lol.

The last time we went to Palace with an unbeaten manager (Nuno) it ended in tears with a 3-0 loss.

I think we have a better team this time around though 🤔

That team is dreadful!

Out of all those there we might start with 11 different players this time. Only Hojbjerg or Royal have a chance of starting, and both don't start regularly.
