I've watched Brooks play for Wales on numerous occasions, and every time he has been the stand out player - he really has a massive future and will take Bale's mantle when he retires. Would love him at Spurs.
For me Brooks only makes sense if we:-
a) Sell Lamela or
b) Use Son as a striker
5 wide players is overkill otherwise
As much as it might annoy him I think Son would be better suited to player the number 2 striker role for us. Between resting Kane and playing some games with both of them up front we should be able to offer enough playing time to keep him happy and on form IMO.
I do too, I’ve no idea how we fit them both in though?I want to sign him and Eze we need quality options.

I've already admitted it was facetious and I was wrong to do that and it was a reaction to seeing the same poster moaning about English players in 3/4 different threads.
It’s not a rumour mate, they have been relegated.I think he had a good debut season but has stagnated. Old rumors surfacing now that Bournemouth has been relegated imo
I would suggest that it’s hard to truly identify any of these players ceiling until you’ve seen what they can do in a side that a) is expected to score more goals and b) won’t channel their entire game through them. At that point you have to analyse how these plays fit with our system.
Brooks is a bit more of what we have, but potentially able to do as much and more than Lucas, and this almost definitely applies to the regularly injured Lamela for whom he’d probably be the replacement.
Grealish and Eze are different to what we have, and there’s an argument to suggest that they’re missing pieces, but then there’s also an argument to suggest that they’d be the wrong shaped pegs. I’m of the view that they’re top talents and that one of them plus Brooks in with Ndombele (marvellous talent but I can’t see it turning around, hope I’m wrong) and Lamela our would enhance our attack. However, that’s predicated on assumptions as to how we’d use them, which are more than likely completely wrong.
Player built in the mould of what Mourinho wants? Every single one of his successful sides has been built on ball carrying players cutting in from the flanks to provide both goals and service on the counter, which is precisely what Brooks is great at and why in a shit side he’s combined output is 1 in 3. I reckon Jose would trade Brooks for Lamela in a heartbeat, regardless of how hard Lamela works.I think the Grealish ship has sailed. Eze I'd be interested in a buy now and loan out system. Lamela is interesting because he's near end of his contract and now is the only time we'll ever be able to cash in because if he signs a new deal then he'll probably stay with us until he is past his peak. I'd argue that it depends on the money for Lamela and how it would be used but Brooks would currently be a step down from Lamela in terms of a player built in the mould of what Jose wants. He probably could improve attacking wise in releasing the ball more intelligently.
I personally also don't think there's a midfielder within our budget or even if we had 60 million to spend that has the potential that Ndombele has. I think that we only need 1 forward this summer and that is a 5th choice forward. If we managed to get let's say 40 million for Lamela then my opinion would change because we might be able to use that 40 creatively. There's an argument to say we're all (myself included) obsessed with transfers as opposed to trying to improve what we have.
Great player but seems made of glass
He’s had one injury to his ankle in his career.
