I though it was brilliant that he made Terry pale in comparison in front of Capello today. He must go the the world cup. The only thing Capello could have against him going is the lack of international experience but who's fault is that when people like Upson get picked in preference.

Capello left straight after Dawson's block from Drogba if I remember correctly. Probably just to beat the traffic, but I like to think it was because he'd seen enough to put the lad on the plane. Terry sent off while Dawson was a truly inspirational captain.

Yup, it was like "that's sorted, Dawson's coming, nothing more to see here!"

I was thinking just the same thing - and the commentators echoed it too!

Nailed on for the WC. Has to be.

There was no traffic consderation at all, Capello came and saw the light and he knows it. He didn't need to watch any more - he's seen an off form Terry get his marching orders, finally getting the kind of refereeing he's deserved for weeks, and the mighty Dawson absolutely on fire. Composed, solid, barking orders when defending set pieces and people listening to him, he's matured like a f*cking stilton, that boy

If he's not on the plan, i will personally hunt down Capello and slap him with my penis.

then put it on youtube.

He has to be in the world cup squad, there's nobody at present better than Michael Dawson IMO, he does it week in week out.

He's proved me wrong this season. Massively improved by cutting out silly mistakes, just needs to cut down on the Hollywood passes.

Drogba won absolutely nothing in the air against Bassong or Dawson. Was good to see

and to think SPURS supporters called him DONKEY Dawson in the season Jol was sacked. Dawson is immense. forget the comparison with Ledley Dawson is a good CB in his own right.

He's just getting better and better, really happy for the lad, what a preformance today. I think he just played himself into the England reckoning.

hope so, as others have said it would be a crime to see upson or lescott go ahead of him but then again capello never picked woodgate who is one of the best in europe so wouldnt be suprised at all

I think the block he seen Daws make today just before he left should seal it for him.
