Did Sandro really say this?

Tottenham’s Sandro says he’d like to play in Italy at some stage in the future, but he’s denied contact with Roma over the summer.

The Brazilian was paired with the Giallorossi revolution in the capital, even if he’s insisted no official bid was made.

“Roma were not the only side interested in me, there were others too,” the 22-year-old told Radio Mana Sport 24.

“The problem was that no offer arrived.

“Nevertheless, I’m happy that a big club like Roma were keen, especially as they play in an important championship.

“I’d certainly like to play in Italy at some point in the future. It would be another forward step in my career.”

Spurs signed Sandro, a defensive midfielder, in 2010 from Internacional.

“I’m convinced that we’ll have a good season at Tottenham,” the player continued. “It’s a great club, with great players.

“I believe that we can finish in the top three or four this term.”

Lets hope it's a misquote, because on paper that doesn't look great

I bloody love Sandro, he has to stay!!

I don't know if Sandro said that, I wasn't present at the interview.

I'd quite like to have sex with Megan Fox. I have actually said that. I'm sure my missus wouldn't be too happy about that, but as it's unlikely to ever happen I doubt she'll be overly bothered by the statement.

So on that basis I'm not going to worry too much about the above.

I'm sure he'll be happy to stay if we have a good season as he predicts. If not then we'll have to deal with it. Players come and go.

Going from England to Italy is hardly a step forward.

Nor is going from having sex with my missus to having sex with Megan Fox the pikey, still holds a certain interest with me though.

More like...

Reporter: "Would you like to play in Italy"
Sandro: "No i'm very happy with Tottenham and believe we can go far with this team"
Reporter: "Sorry I wasn't listening, I was too busy typing bullshit"
Sandro "Megan Fox is a pikey, print that you bitch"

I'm guessing that is how it went

Exactamundo.... It's only natural for other big clubs to be looking enviously at some of our players. If we fail to make the CL come next May then expect more of the same as we got this summer but ths time with clubs looking to snach away Bale, Modric, Sandro and VDV....

p.s. Roma have signed some fantastic players this summer, really looking forward to seeing how they fair this sason under Enrique.....

Can't see anything wrong at all. There were rumours that some big clubs are interested but no-one made an offer. He would like to play in Italy in the future? What did you expect him to say, Italy is a shithole and I will never step foot in the country?

As for loyalty? He's been here 8 months, he probably never heard of Spurs before moving.
But then again we show such loyalty to our players/manager and chairman? How many threads in here about so and so not being good enough/ wont take us to the next level, or in case of our strikers are absolute shit. Yet you expect players to worship the hallowed turf of WHL and kiss the fans arses?
As long as he doesn't try to engineer a move or sulks I will be happy.
