Paulinho was only cheaper because he had a 17m realease clause. If he hadn't he would cost a lot more.

If we somehow managed to sign this lad and Benteke, I would probably pass out through the sheer amount of blood rushing to certain regions. The kid looks like he has that x-factor that we missed at points last season and would be a great addition.

Yes we probably do know the answer to that. The feeling seems to be that he is a very rare talent and that is why the valuation is so high. It's only really a case of whether we decide we want to spend the sort of money it takes to get that kind of talent or if we'd rather spend less money on a less talented player but maybe have the opportunity to bring in multiple players.

Dortmund were credited with strong interest by AM and his agent, however his price tag put them off. Porto do seem to have signed someone else, as again his pricing seems to be the sticking point. However both of those clubs are well known to be fantastic at scouting and both were very interested in the player. So, no. We were not the only club linked by a long shot.

This kid has such a high price tag as with his prodigious talent he could be one of the hottest prospects in World football in a year, and AM want to get what it will deem is a fair slice of any chance profit on him. Of course there is a chance that the kid could never fulfil his potential, but AM won't price him that way, and it is the job of our scouts to make a judgement call as to whether they can see him fulfilling his potential.

Um well Dortmund were clearly linked with him. Isn't being linked by the media the same as media talk? I'm not really sure where you are coming from on this one.
