Romero is the best central defender at the club if you look at an individual level. But Dier is the most important one, by far. His leadership is so important.

Going to have a browse back through this thread to have a read of all those who said he was done, dead wood, past it and had to be moved on.

Warrior tonight. 100% warrior.
Those comments were made when he was at a club that played a back four. He has now found his position in a back three and has been immense.

Lloris
Dier
Bentancur
Kane
While Lloris has had a couple of poor games/Half's that spine is looking a lot better.

Dier looks the better leader out of those 4, and hopefully Bentancur can be one as well.

Football narratives can change so quickly. Dier’s been lauded and rightfully so. Performances have been top for a while now. So so important to this team.

I love Eric Dier. Eric Dier loves me.

Proved today just how important he is. He makes us much more solid and confident at the back. Him and Romero have the making of a great partnership. Add a third in the summer (Davies more than capable back up LCB) and we're rolling.

I wouldnt argue with that but Dier in a three is seriously good.

I know people keep thinking of upgrades at the back and we still do need one but ther eis good chemistry between Davies, Dier and Romero... its pretty solid

I am so pleased for him. I think he's great and like that we are starting to see a leader emerge from this group of players.
