Europe vs S.America vs Africa etc

So what would your best team from the continents be and what continent would have the best team? Had to argue with a friend some days ago. He said that the Africa XI team would beat a Europe XI team, and to add more to discuss I added S.America. So what are your teams and your thoughts?

Note that after some discussion we agreed that the african players of France mostly belong to the Africa XI as most of them were born in Africa. So to make it easier not to post all french players born in Africa, we agreed that all black french players can be included in the Africa XI team.

EDIT: After checking the french NT its acutally just Evra and Mandanda who were born in Africa. The rest is mostly France. My mistake as I still had the last generation in mind where Viera, Thuram, Makelele etc all were born in Africa. So Rules change for me, only players playing for african NT are permitted in the African XI. Sorry for the trouble :wink:

I think on paper Europe would nick it because they are the most balanced team.

But cool concept. Africa would get flogged IMO. Europe v Sth America would be a question of whether Messi Higuain and Tevz could score more than their back 4 ships.

I reckon in real life Africa could pull off a few surprises. They would probably have a stronger unit, whereas with Europe and South America it would be a case of who do you leave out.

It would be a great little tournament to see though. Anyone want to try and come up with any other continental teams?

I was struggling wheter to choose Rooney or Torres instead of Ibra. On form all of them are on par IMO, now thinking again about it I think Rooney would give more to a team than Ibra or Torres...

And I think the best domestic league team would def be La Liga. Basically the World champions team with 2-3 other Players.
