Classic bit of Crappy commentary by Joe Royal et al on Match choice...

when Malbranque went down/brought down  in the penalty area after Berba's little lay-off, the commentator said "well if He's not given the Penalty there i would like to see him book Malbranque for diving..." then Royal pipes up "Absolutely it's either a stone wall penalty or a blatant dive!"

Que replay....

Royal :"well if there is contact it's minimal..."

so basically what your saying is, not a pen but not a dive...

Great performance from woody and the defenders (why does that sound like the other defenders' names should be Alvin and Theodore )

Hudd's definately lost weight and reading the game quite well; stepping in etc.

Also great show of our improved fitness today, had a tough game on Sunday where we were down to 10 for some time, and yet three days later we totally dominate the last 20 minutes against a team that (as far as I'm aware) had no game at the weekend

keep up the good work fellas...

now I'm off to get some sleep, busy day of F5 spammin' ahead of me

Oh and why has JJ cut his hair?

Better not go back to being sh1t.
Go back..?

I'm not saying he's shit but we've never gonna achieve big things with Jenas supposed to beeing constructive. He's extremely overrated and pundits and commentators from outside England are far from impressed and of course judge him more objectively.

Haven't seen anythng of the game at all but the BBC site stats showed possesion 56% - 44% in Evertons favour at half time but 51% - 49% in our favour at the end.
What did we do in the second half that was so different to the first ? were we just passing the ball around to stop them having it or were all over them?

as my thread's been ignored I'll post it here :)

It's ridiculous that time and again people go on about us playing weakened teams - forgetting about us

last night we missed King Bale TT Zokora Gardner Bent BAE Hutton

plus players like Berbs & JJ are having to play too many games because of lack of cover

DC Boy, you make a good point - Berb's must be feeling it - nad we do need to rest him for the real biggies's ahead...

Cheers Liquidator :)

I think had Bent been fit he may have played last night

hopefully Bent will be fit for Sat - may not start though - however perhaps he can start v Derby to give Berbs a break

Was I the only one screaming at Chimbonda pretty much the whole game?

It seemed to me and the misses (watching Match Choice) that he was doing the absolute minimum he could get away with. Too casual in defence again, never looked like he was putting the same effort and commitment in as everyone else and almost put Cerny in difficulties with the worst backpass I've seen in a while!

Think apart from Chims, the whole team was commited and I even saw Berbs running full tilt to close a player down :eek:mg:. We just didn't have the quality on the night to break them down.

Woody Spurs MOTM, Hudd a close second, though it scares the bejeezus out of me when he does a cruyff turn on the edge of our area. O'Hara had another good game and his stock is rising. I felt that the introduction of KPB and O'Hara slipping to LB could have changed the game. We looked more composed and threatening in attack after the change.

Overall I'm satisfied by a good away point, and a clean sheet.

Can anyone tell me how Gunter did? I was following the live text and it seemed that Everton was attacking mainly from his side. The fact that he was substituted and O'Hara was moved to LB would suggest he wasn't up to it.

Was at the game last night and have to say it was prob a fair result, we could have snatched it at the end but didn't really threaten until the 70th minute or so.

Chimbonda looked like he wanted to be elsewhere to b honest and he also seemed to wave goodbye to the fans at the end.....

Thought Steed, JJ, O Hara and Lennon were all pretty good and Woodgate was outstanding!

Thought it was brilliant how against a good team, away from home, Ramos took his left back off and put a midfielder on, an attacking one at that!

Also i watched the game with the home fans, work thing, but have to say the Spurs fans were brilliant again!
