Listening to the radio commentary earlier tonight Chimbonda wound up the Everton fans early on by rolling around on the ground after a challenge. Was booed for the rest of the game.

Andy Johnson - cheating ****. How is he still trying to get away with tripping himself up?

I watched the second half. The game wasn't impressive. Our strikers were isolated, especially Keane who touched the ball 3-4 times. Lennon showed on some ocasions that he seems to improve his form. Woodgate was solid, Jenas was anonymous, Malbranque worked hard but did little attacking wise.

Chimbonda was fowled, can not remember by who but he slid in and his studs crashed into the inside of Chimbonda's thigh, looked prety painfull, Chimbonda rolled around a few times - only he knows how hurt he was. Everton fans got on his back from then on.

Andy Johnson is rubbish. Just thought I'd point that out.

it sure would

hutton king woody gilberto - that sounds like a back 4 to give us a chance

i'm sure that the players who got us to the final would be a bit pissed off with that though!

They just said on Football First highlights that we're already guaranteed Europe because Chelsea will finish in Top 4 and we're in the Carling Cup final. Methink they wrong

I felt Jenas didn't get a chance to roam forward, or was afraid to do so because he didn't have a defensive CM playing beside him.

maybe they would - but it's all about winning - JR will surely pick the best team he can - of course that team might include the likes of Daws Chimb or Lee - it's a long way to the 24th yet

Absolutely. Everybody is playing for their place, be it league or cup, we can't afford complacency anywhere.

O'hara was doing a sterling job mopping up. So i don't know what Jenas was afraid of.

O'hara, Woodgate, Huddlestone and Lennon all did well. Special mentions to Chimbonda, Gunter and Berbatov (who's effort couldn't be questioned, for once).

exactly Dougal - we as fans pay the money - we want to see us win that Cup - it's up to JR & co to prepare and select the best team possible

Beating chelsea would transform not just our season but the whole decade - this game is soooo massive and I'm very proud of the way the board has put the money together to strengthen our squad at such a vital time

Chelsea are still strong favourites but the gap is narrowing - get gilberto in and I think it narrows a little more
