Is it me or does it seem like our players are not close together? The diagonal ball is always their but I'd want the midfield 2 and front 3 closer together to play quick passes

As the commentator highlighted, our last shot on target being in the 16th min, sums up what’s wrong with this formation.

Poor enough stuff. It's hard to believe we'd be third if we win. That's crazy really.

And a big reason to get a manager who ditches a back three is we'd lose the comfort blanket of always passing backward to an extra man. So much ponderous play in front of opponents.

There's a better way.

We are too static, and just seem to lack any imagination on the ball or any incisive movement off it. We are too easy to defend against, until Kane does something. Kulusevski is trying, Porro too. But Son just looks so out of sorts. I’d give Danjuma a run, at least he may bring something different, plus it’ll really grate on Everton ;)
Failing that, get Devine or Sarr on for Son, 3-5-2, and give the CM 3 license to carry or break from deep.

Playing alright I suppose but we look pretty toothless. I never understand why we look to slow the game down all the time and let them get set.

Son a complete passenger once again. Kulusevski not much better.
kulu been much better than son, least he wants to compete

Want Son to succeed but at the moment he is a waste of space. Should not play the second half.

Not sure what to make of PEH tonight. He has shown some very beat touches and good passes but it just seems slow. His first instinct is always to play it back. Skipp is the opposite but without a number 10 we need another one to instinctively look to play forward

I've got to say I do like the Everton fans. All football fans are wankers when their team is concerned, but at least Everton fans are wankers in a way that benefits them. Shouting and screaming for every ball can only be a good thing
