I hope humility wins out and everyone accepts it hasn't worked and we find a new long term path as soon as possible.

I never stated Jose was doing a good job, just that we did no better with someone else at the helm regardless of their pedigree or not.

I've not said Conte is doing a good job either. It is just simply my opinion and was under Jose as well that a new man is not going to get this squad performing, on a results basis, any better than we are now. Aesthetically it might be better but I'm not really fussed if we play nice football but don't win games. Had enough of that Redknapp and Poch.

Davies, Dier, Sanchez, Hojbjerg, Lucas all still exist and 3 of them are starters. 4 of them were no more than backups in 2019..

Hojbjerg came in after Poch, and I think he has done ok.

Of the other three you mentioned, only one started last night. They can hardly be responsible for the result when they are not even playing.

But I'm not saying it's just last night, I'm saying in the overall picture and grand scheme of things, these players shouldn't be here.

Get rid of Conte now. The last month or two have been shocking. Get Poc in now. Bring back a bit of positivity in our play, don’t judge by results and give him til the end of the season to assess the squad, decide who’s in or out then kick on ready for next season.

Few good posts by Matt who I believe was the first to break the Jose to us story and has broken a few transfer bits since Contes been here as well so has some contacts.

Completely agree with what he's saying and it's good that the press are looking past the manager for our failings

don’t like the bloke, think he’s a right tool! But you can’t argue with facts can you?

So for arguments sake, if he had signed a 3 year contract during the WC would you still be patient given the results we’ve seen since then?
I expect we may have seen a different transfer window which would have played a part.

So difficult to say.

It would be but that buzz wouldn't last so long.

We need to be absolutely certain about who we appoint because this has to be much more then bringing someone in for the weekend or a quick lift.
Very true it has to be the right decision, I’ve outlined why I think Poch could work not just from the emotional standpoint but there would still be a decent buzz if another coach was brought in who was more likeable and played easier on the eye football.

I think if Conte wanted Richy he would have played a lot more
He called him personally and asked him to come:

"Antonio Conte called me during the negotiations and expressed how much he’d like to have me on board – that was vital for my decision.”

Surely we're past the point of hunting for excuses for the man now?

No mate he's 100% spot on. I'm actually glad that the media the last 2 years have picked up on the shit show we are in terms of football side of the house.
The sacking of Jose to end up with Nuno less than 2 weeks before pre season (even forgetting Levy's interview with the DNA spiel) is genuinely so amateurish it's unbelievable.
Hopefully the media keep the spotlight on him and his utter failings on the football side. It won't make him sell but only hope is that Lewis puts enough pressure on him to properly let go of the footballing side and leave it to professionals

We would have had noises if it was going to be today

We'll sleepwalk through the Forest game, probably nick a lucky boring win and that will be that until we drop loads of points to Southampton, Everton and Brighton and the season has got even further away

I have zero faith in this club any more
Exactly. Forest are absolute gash away from home, we'll win. But with the way we are playing right now, we won't get much from Southampton and Everton away - two games that with a manager bounce of some sorts you could expect to see some points from. Brighton will then embarrass us at our own stadium and that's when we'll sack him.

Well they've not even done that with it. They just put it back in their bank account.
The ‘cash infusion’ from the summer was never about the cash and ALWAYS about the valuation that it implied i,e £150m for an extra 1.9% of the equity = £7.9bn valuation (not including the debt).
But thats how we roll with private Equity owners….and why ive pretty much given up with this soap opera of a club.

More Richy comments on Conte!:
“We are out of the biggest club competition, you can't play like this when needing to score a goal," he said. "I think he should have put [pushed] the team forward, especially in the second half."
