Yeah ever since they moved stadiums it's been away first/home second, with the only exception being the covid season.

There's been a few early games in September (2-2 when we were 0-2 up, and the game before Bale left), and the odd home game in April (3-3, 2-1 Danny Rose) - and of course this year...?

The only one of our perceived best XI who plays for a country that won't be in Qatar at all is Kulusevski. We can probably assume Sonny will go home after the group stage but the others all play for countries who might do something.

We need to sign all the Italians and hope Dier remains in Southgate's bad books because reasons.
Wales and south Korea have about an even chance I mean Ghana is really not a good team right now and Uruguay are a team in transition and almost didn't qualify. South Korea have been a bit stop and start but are not a bad side, far from it.

Wales similarly are in a harder group than it seems. Iran are a very competitive team and they'll be defacto playing at home. USA are a bit of a mess but have serious talent at the same time while Wales are ageing.

But yeah, I think it's a world cup and it won't affect us particularly heavily tbh. I also don't think a three week break in the middle of a season is much of an advantage at all, you want players to play football, you don't want them to come back and suddenly it's like preseason all over again.

While I think aiming for the title is an utterly unrealistic prospect if we were to aim for it this kind of choas would only help us as it's likely to make it unpredictable

Thankfully Bissouma is soon to be another one!

I assumed Uruguay would be better than Korea but if not then we get Bentancur home early so win win.

I also still think Wales will manage to get through that group.

Adding 2011/2012, when VDV opened the scoring and Walker scored the winning goal in early October.

All the big guns/rivals away from home first half of the season bar pool. Christ
So that's a 50/50 split then?
The pre-world cup fixtures will be absolutely massive for us with a majority of away games but also away against all our rivals apart from Pool.

Scary and exciting at the same time lol.
I'm not sure I'd call mid-September a pre-World Cup fixture.

Not sure if mentioned but lady GaGa is on the 30th. So we have about a week to lay a new pitch. Well probably less as have to clear all the concert set up. Unless they pull trays out after guns n roses lay pitch and put under stand. Quite surprised we didn’t ask to be away.

grass is probably in/out of the car park each concert.

Is it just me, or does it seem like we play Arsenal away first every season, always around October, and then we always play them at home between Jan and Feb?

When was the last time we played them in one of the first or last games of the season?
September 2013. Third or fourth game of the season. They beat us 1-0 at their place.

Despite it being quite a while ago, it is just me then! It feels like every season I know when we're going to play Arsenal. But that's obviously recency bias.

I read the aug tv games we’re coming out today, anyone seen them anywhere? Planning trip from oz for a wedding and really hoping the wolves game moves to the Sunday as it’s the only home game while I’m in uk and the wedding is in that Saturday!

Also trying to find the ticket on sale dates on the OS but they font seem to list then anymore or maybe they just don’t know yet?
Anyway if anyone has any info greatly appreciated!

To follow up on this, I'm planning on making the trek and going to see the Villa game on New Years Eve... how do I get tickets to a game as someone from the states? Stubhub? Do I have to sign up for a Hotspur membership?

Whenever I see the TV listings for PL in the UK, I am immensely grateful for Disney+ Hotstar in my country which airs every single PL match and shows for under 5 Pounds A YEAR. Its even greater when almost all data providers give a year's Hotstar subscription for free along with data recharges.

Which country are you from... out of interest.
