If he does go then I would want Evan Ferguson. I dont think we can attract Vlahovic or players of that status so we need a player like Ferguson with massive potential.

Didn't he recently sign a new contract or did that never materialise?

Shame as the one I would have loved would have been Ivan Toney.

Ferguson has signed a new contract and isn't gettable at the moment. Brighton will plan to keep him for 3 years and then agree to sell him at a reasonable fee. Anything now would take 100m. Vlahovic probably out of our reach without European football. Our options will be limited this summer, have to find players on their way up.

The new contract would mean he commands a bigger fee but there is no chance he goes for £100m. He is more likely to go for about £60mill now and his price will only increase.

The point is he's not for sale now with that contract, so he's not going for market value they want to keep him now that his contract is secure. No point looking at similar transfers and trying to reason how much a player like Ferguson cost in the market as you'd have to overpay so much that Brighton think this is just silly money. 60m isn't it.

Frankfurt got Kolo Muani for the equivalent of a pie and a can of coke, there are class strikers to sign if our scouts are earning their wage

Would be madness to let him go and moreover it would be madness for him to move when he is so close to becoming the PL’s greatest ever goal scorer
It would be unbearable if he for instance went to Utd, and he would break Shearer's record. They(scum fans) would take all the credit for it.

Whislt he has every right to do that, what would hurt the most is that throughout history all the pics of him celebrating the moment he breaks the record will be in a Utd shirt. That's going to be a very sad moment if it ever happens.

I personally feel, and I'm probably just holding out for blind hope here, that if he wants the PL scorer record more than anything in his career then he'll stay with us until he gets it. Again, I could just be clutching at straws, but it's what I hope for.

Real Madrid won't offer £100m for Kane. They will do what they usually do, get Spanish media outlets make up something along the lines that detailed talks have taken place directly with the player and club when nothing of the sort has happened and the Spanish media will sound our Madrid's interest on a drip drip by constant feed and the media here will continue to recycle these stories second hand and then Real Madrid will arrogantly try to rely on their reputation alone to drive the player into their clutches for a fraction of the price by unsettling them and having it put put there that once they come calling the player must say yes because the player will never get another chance to play for them if he turns them down as they are the be all and end all in football.

Argregator bullshit merchants will also go into overdrive rehashing these stories all summer.

Surely for Kane the lucrative option now is to run his contract down? Whatever the fee would be to buy him now, the majority of that will be in his pocket as a signing on fee in a years time. It is a risk but a calculated one IMO. If this Haaland release clause is true at the end of next season and he goes to Madrid we can’t rule out City coming back in for him in a years time either.
