I’ve heard many say Shearer didn’t win anything in his career. It seems to have been forgotten by many.
The first financially doped club. Didn't really imagine where it would end up.

Funny thing is people mention the record with Shearer more than his title with Blackburn
I think the odds are In favour of him leaving but we can dream he stays and falls in love with Ange.“I’ve always said as long as the club is moving in the right direction and showing the right ambition, I want to be part of the journey.”
- Harry Kane in 2019.
I don't think Kane's career objectives are limited to individual achievements. If I had to guess, I would suggest that he does not want to be seen as one of England's greatest strikers - I think he wants to be known as one of Europe's (or the World's) greatest strikers.
A year outside of any European competitions at this stage of his career - when he is still in his prime - is going to hurt.
He very clearly wanted to leave two summers ago, and I think it would be hard for him to say the club have matched his ambitions to be in this spot, two-years later, ready to embark on yet another new project.

I guess utd most likely as you'd think arse and chavs arent on his list. UTD call easily be crap again this year and we could go back above them. That would be an interesting decision for him at that point. Equally we could be terrible this year and he'd definitely go.
Personally just hope he stays and if not hits Madrid or Bayern.
Great line I read about going to Bayern.
"Winning the Bundesliga with Bayern is like losing your virginity to a prostitute"
If he is going there for trophies i think he will struggle to get the respect for it back here unless they win the Champions league. Let's be honest they will probably win the league with or without him.
Yep it's shameful the lack of respect he getsLets face it, Kane does not get much respect here - no matter what he does.
Golden Boot AND Playmaker of Year - not player of the year
3x Golden Boot winner - never player of the year
30 goals for an 8th place team - not player of the year
2nd all-time leading scorer in the league - never player of the year
Fat fingers, my apologiesIn the name of all that's good in the world, how can this excellent post be off topic @number7 ?
I couldn't agree more. I'm quite optimistic about this year. I don't think Ten Haag is actually as good as it's looked. I think he got the most he will ever get from Radford and I expect them to regress.Utd were all over the place for years until they got a manager fit for the job. Once they got going with Ten Hag they started to look good again. No reason why we can't do the same imo. Nuno, Mourinho and Conte were all dreadful fits for us.
Fish says hi from pre-season last yearThe thing that often gets overlooked in the media - and, actually, by some posters on this site - is just how topsy-turvy the PL is, beyond Man City. Look at the 21/22 season. Final standings were:
City 93
Pool 92
Chels 74
Spurs 71
Arse 69
Who in their right mind - and certainly which pundits - predicted that Arsenal would almost win the league? And yet...
City 89
Arse 84
United 75
Newc 71
Pool 67
I firmly believe that with a fully recovered Sonny, Maddison doing what he does, a motivated Bissouma, a settled-in Porro, Solomon, plus (hopefully) Tapsoba and another CB we can seriously challenge for the top four again, all the while playing the kind of football we crave. The narrative from some of these ex-pro know-alls is 'Chelsea will come back stronger', that 'Liverpool will always respond', and yet with Spurs it's always 'well, they're going back to what they do, aren't they?'
Why does any of that have to be true? It's based on nothing, bar guesswork and prejudice. If we do significantly better this season, and he keeps banging the goals in, then I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility ATALL that Harry Kane signs a new contract. And I, for one, hope he stays as long as he wants, smashing Shearer's bloody record out of sight and winning a few things into the bargain. Isn't this what we're about? We used to be a club with a motto we believed in. Let's get that attitude back!
It’s a weird one. I’d love to know what he really thinks, prioritizes, and values. We speculate based on what we see, what he says, and occasionally someone may have some small inside knowledge.
Like, is he actively seeking to leave this summer?
Based on prior behavior, you can only guess that he doesn’t rule it out, but he won’t pressure for a move. He is smart and respectful when it comes to our club in particular. We are a part of his family. He knows any offer must be commensurate with the gap he leaves behind.
Unless Bayern or Madrid throw 90m or more our way, it’s not going to be a decision he needs to consider.
I think last season was our ‘darkest before the dawn’ post Poch era season. I hope we are now heading back up. But it’s just the start of the journey. Question for Harry will have to be if he believes in the direction and it will be fulfilling
