This is the one I always want to win the most. The problem is they are moving further and further away from us ! How many of our players would get in there starting line up these days ? Anyway let's hope for a magical night under the lights at WHL! Need everyone to turn up and be on there A game otherwise we will get beat. MO PO your team selection is huge, please let's hope we have learnt our lesson for the 3 nil defeat at there place. Big players needed.

I really really don't think it will happen. But fuck me I will be so fucking elated if we win this game.

And hopefully we win it in spite of a dodgy Chelsea penalty, then we'll see what Mourinho has got to moan about

Play the big bastards in midfield and get the crowd up and you never know.

I honestly don't think we'll lose this. Crowd will be up for this, big time. I think we'll see a really committed performance.

Really really hate this team but they wont need to Fuck the mind up of the ref to win this they should and probably will beat us comfortably.
This is a realistic not negative view just basing it on the fact they are a very good side and we rarely beat them nowdays.

Read this from the fat bearded idiot that is Martin Samuel. He might as well live in Mourinho's arse.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...o-manager-sees-festive-fixtures-like-fan.html
What a seriously inconsiderate argument to make, like you say clearly up Mourinho's arse!

Of course Mourinho loves it, he has a ton of resources at his disposal! Unlike Poyet, who seems to get the brunt of criticism here.

15 Premiership players have played in the last 3 WC's?! That's only 5 a game, hardly as much as he's is declaring. He then says two Premiership players contributed to the winning goals in 10 and 14 yeah they did but Samuel clearly fails to acknowledge that Schurrle was hardly an ever present in Chelsea's campaign last year.

Total tool bag he is!....Just like Mourinho

And always have been, nothing to do with recent success, their fans have always been the scum of the earth, they are attracted to the club like flys to a steaming pile of shit. Bigoted, homophobic, Racist scum, I know all clubs have some of them but they wear it like a badge of honour.
For those who think I may have gone a little overboard, trust me, I really haven't.

That can;t be right, a few of my mates I know in the Old Bill support Chelsea… Oh, wait…..

I just watched highlights of that 2-1 loss a while back during half time of the Pool game. The game where Sandro scored that screamer. I suggest anyone who wants to get more fired up/pissed off watch these highlights. A Gomes howler that never crossed the line and an offside winner.

Fuck that **** Lampard and fuck Chelsea.

I would Kevin Keegan but do those ever really work out?

I hate this fixture because they usually beat us, because they have better players and a better manager. Let's be honest about what this thread is. It's a place to get our moans out of the way before we inevitably lose, a place to get our excuses in early. If we get a result, great, but this is nothing more than convincing ourselves they aren't a real club.

I honestly don't think we'll lose Tiger. That said I'm still getting smashed before the game and taking my usual seat behind the couch.

I agree with OP gist but alot of ppl around me actually think it's the way to go.

Alot of sports fan have a win-no-matter-what mentality. It's most apparent in national football. When England scores a 'wrong' goal you don't hear English fans criticize. Its a given and socially/ethically acceptable to win 'in the wrong'.

Chelsea's persona (Terry/Mourinho) just reflects it. If you are part of it then you wont normally say no.

I guess my point is if we were in Chelsea's shoes would you endorse this behavior? if the answer is yes then you have no right to complain.

I hate this fixture because it feels like we are a brand new angel who just got his wings facing off against almighty Satan. God's watching, but he won't step in because he wants us to learn to battle pure evil on our own.

Btw, I'm not religious in any way- it's just what this fixture evokes in my mind.

I'd take a winning goal from a dive or an offside..... winning at all costs, it's what Chelsea are actually very good at, the darker side of football. It helps though.

That aside, I don't particular like this fixture, listening to their fans on social media... it's easy to gloat when you are that good, and it's all I hear, and I cannot see anything other than a Chelsea win here.

That being said, it would be fooking lovely if we beat them, and then listen to how they were cheated.... :)

I'd take a point now though!

I agree with a lot of people here, I straight up hate Chelsea. As a slightly younger fan I also feel that I should have a real hatred for Arsenal, which is true (I can't stand aspects of that club) but through all of the annoying Polish goalkeepers and fragile glass midfielders, at the end of the day, I sort of appreciate the way they play football and the manner in which they promote youth talent, albeit, not the class of youth that we possess;)

Chelsea on the other hand, are owned by a man as clueless as Vincent Tan but with a bigger wallet, captained by a racist, cheating scumbag, and managed by an ignorant, arrogant piece of shit who's only goal is to try convince the world that everyone is against his club.

They have shattered a lot of very promising youth players, (the likes of Marin, and most likely Kramaric when he signs) to fulfil their financial needs as well as to simply hoard players so other teams can't have them (Willian). It does depress me a little that Chelsea will bring some 18yo kid who hopes to play for one of the "biggest clubs in the world" only to spend 6 years at a club without making a single first team appearance before being shipped out to some shitheap team elsewhere...

Come New Years Day, will we win? Potentially. Will we at least show a fighting spirit and contest the full 90 mins? Likely. Will some bullshit referee decision go against us because of the "campaign" against Chelsea, ultimately costing us the game? Most Definitely.

I think expecting a win is a lot to ask, just want to see a whole-hearted team effort and if we go down, go down fighting, COYS!

MP needs to give an enormous Presidential speech as in the Independence Day film.

Real soul stirring, get them up for it, give everything they can type encouragement. (Not that they should need it, especially HG lads)

Apparently he told them to 'go to war' before the Man United match so he's not afraid to pull out a big chest-thumping speech if need be!

I would be a lot more confident if we could defend well as a team and nick a goal on the counter. I just can't see us digging in deep enough against this attacking force.

We don't have to hate this fixture. According to some psychic research, the will of the masses could have a bearing on the outcome of some events, and that's why they say that miracles could happen if there are enough people praying sincerely for say a seriously ill person.

So if the team were to have the spirit to contend with them and us willing them on far and near, who would dare to say we don't have a chance.

Do you guys have enough time over in England to ask Hoddle to take the lead?
