Is there something wrong with me .... I love our club so much, I sacrifice everything for this club , days at work 3 am kick offs , money , friendships and arguments and when the fixtures were released my heart fluttered I said to myself wow it's all going to happen again. Depression, love, anger, tears , emotion, joy....

I feel like I'm married to Tottenham hotspur I love them and trust them ..

Am I taking my love for our club to far

Are you trying to bang the club from behind?

If not, then you're probably displaying the correct amount of restraint in your love for the club - so far.

Nope. You're about right. THFC are like family to me. I'm sure it's the same for many other yids.

Yes, obviously.
But unlike marriage which is getting on for a 50% failure rate there are few recorded cases
of Spurs supporters ditching their club following irretrievable breakdown.
Though we certainly have a case under the old mental cruelty grounds.
It's more like a religion than a marriage.
Levy is God and AVB his appointed representative on earth.
Keep the Faith brother and if we don't make top four someone's gonna get crucified.

I spend more money on Spurs than I do on my wife, I've only just realised this and yet she's always treated me better.
We're hopeless cases ain't we.

An example of how obsessed my son(s) are with Tottenham. They are 8 and 6 and are getting quite good at Fifa 13, which I let them play as a treat and/or when its wet and miserable and they're getting on my nerves!haha

Anyway, they often play Tottenham v Tottenham so it's down to ability so generally when my 8 yr isnt isnt trying to get as many sent off as possible, he will usually pip it but at the weekend they had just started a game and after literally 1 minute my eldest, using Bale, done a horrendous tackle on my youngest's Bale....not only did the bad tackling Bale get a straight red, the victim Bale couldnt carry on and it forced a substitution.

All hell then broke lose with my youngest crying and screaming that Bale was 'dead' in a heap and my oldest was screaming at the virtual ref that it wasnt a foul and then started crying that he didnt have Bale anymore.

My girlfriend told me I handled it very well because I then told them to be quiet, play the game and both Bale's will then be available again otherwise I'll take it away and they will then be stuck with Fifa 09...in which we are rubbish and Bale is rubbish. They done as they were told and 15minutes later were both happy as dirty Bale had served his suspension and crippled Bale was fit again.

As a side note, it's amazing how many goals Scott Parker is able to score when they play.....o_O

Let's hope for your sake she hasn't noticed yet!

COYS!

He he. That reminds me of a funny Simpsons joke. Homer develops a bit of a gambling problem and says to Bart:

Homer: "Don't worry son, I have a system"

Bart: "What's your system Homer?"

Homer: "I don't tell your mother how much I lose"

As Peter Cook said of our beloved club: "She's like a bad mistress, she treats you bad, she lets you down, but you find yourself going back to her every time because you can't live without her!"

And he would know.

The thing is.........for most of us, this club has been part of our family since we were kids, so it's natural that we love them, just like we love our families. :)

There is a massive overlap between the club and my family. I'm not sure what I'd speak to my father about if we didn't have Spurs there as a buffer.

I will love Spurs forever and here comes a but ..... It's just not the same anymore. I went more times last year than I have done since I was 20 (I'm 33 now) I went to all the europa nights at home except lazio got a half season membership and only missed 2 home games from January, and it was great cos I was meeting up with my Dad and we had some blinding days. but the atmosphere down the lane has in all honesty been shit. and there is no way I'm going to scratch around for all the overtime I can get just to have some mug sit behind me and moan for 90 mins.

As far as my family and friends are concerned Spurs and I are one. If something happens to Spurs it happens to me. If they plan an occasion the fixture list comes into play. The cater for my mood depending on results.

They must be a bit mental. I'm glad I'm not weird.

I too love this club. I've always had the view that if I was ever a professional footballer I would try my damnest to get to play for Tottenham and stay there as long as possible, if 'bigger' clubs came sniffing i would politely tell them to fuck off, i would play for 1k a week too, it wouldn't be about the money for me, it would be about playing for my favourite team and putting in 1000% each and every game. Shame I'm shit at football really.
