My wife comes from a Hurling family and "soccer" comes after it and GAA. Therefore she has no understanding of what i feel and why I act the way i do.

Hopefully she will learn before deciding to divorce me :ROFLMAO:

How it impacts your family is the key for me. Case in point my 5 year old daughter asks me, "dad, did you know Dora the Explorer is a spurs fan?" (I'm not kidding). Yep, she says as she opens her Dora the Explorer laptop and precedes to sing along with 'oh when the Saints' except of course, in my household it's 'oh when the spurs.' (Never too early to start the propaganda either!)

I'm from North Wales and have no family/friend connection to Spurs. I'm 22 and have been a supporter since 1996.

Around here, everyone is a Man Utd or Liverpool fan. So I took a lot of abuse as a kid and everyone always laughing at me because I supported a 'shit team'. It got me down quite a lot.. but it was worth it.

When we won the League Cup against Chelsea.. I honestly can't explain how happy I was.. This is the League Cup, not a big deal to most but it meant so much to me. We have had years of hurt and pain, but it just makes our successes even more intense. My Man Utd/Liverpool supporting friends would never feel the ecstasy that we felt when Woodgate scored the winner at Wembley.

Remember Peter Crouch scoring the winner against City to confirm our Champions League qualification? That was made 100x better due to 'lasagna-gate'. We had previously felt the pain and now, finally, it was our time.

Sometimes it feels like we are the unluckiest team around, but we live in hope that next year is 'our year' and if this happens to be the case in 2013/14 then we will feel more happiness then we even knew was possible.

It's funny really, I've never felt more detatched from the club as I do now. I still watch all the games, but I really don't care as much as I used to.

The closest I got to this feeling was when I was with my ex. She kept telling me 'There is more to life than football'.

Then I missed Dempsey's last minute equaliser against Man Utd because we had to go out for dinner so got rid.

Need to find a hot female spurs fan.

Is there something wrong with me .... I love our club so much, I sacrifice everything for this club , days at work 3 am kick offs , money , friendships and arguments and when the fixtures were released my heart fluttered I said to myself wow it's all going to happen again. Depression, love, anger, tears , emotion, joy....

I feel like I'm married to Tottenham hotspur I love them and trust them ..

Am I taking my love for our club to far

You are not alone in this my friend.

The time we play shitty and won 3-1 my cousin (he's like a brother to me) bruised a rib for me whilst celebrating Bale's goal!! Need I say more?

The thing is.........for most of us, this club has been part of our family since we were kids, so it's natural that we love them, just like we love our families. :)
It's the only constant in our lives.

Friends come and go, family members are born or die. Everything else in our lives changes. The one thing that is ours that was there before us, that we have for our whole (sentient) lives, and will be there when we're gone is Spurs.

Like mattdefoe and thousands (perhaps millions) of others, I love this club.

No matter how much I try to hide it, they can still ruin your weekend. If they win however that's a different story!

They better win a league before I die that is all
