Yeah I miss him too. The charisma, the hugs and all. I think Tottenham as whole became a better liked team under his tenure and with it we were so close to real success. Back to back fifths, spoilt only by Lasagne, and a UEFA run spoilt by a dodgy reffing decisions in the Sevilla game. I wish the big man all the best.

i miss him too! And although he lost the team last october I still prefer him to Ramos. a lot more...I was sad when i realised i'd never ever see him as a Tottenham manager...
The way he treated the players... i just loved it...since he's gone something changed...less smiley face in the team..Good luck Mr. Jol

I'd love to think that one day he'll come back and lead the squad once again. Unappreciated by a lot of people who are too young to realise what an effect he had on a club that for so long needed a bit of Martin Jol lovin'. He's an old-school manager with a heart of gold and i miss that big hand flopping around when the faithful called him for a wave :hello:

Whatever happens, he'll always be remembered for being the man who bought the passion back into White Hart Lane and relit the flames under the Park Lane

This is General Football? How?

Everyone is talking about memories of Jol at Tottenham.

Wish him all the success with 'Humbug'!

He gave us our Spurs back, and one day we'll give him his Spurs again!

So we're bumping threads about all our previous managers now?

Have we got an "I miss John Cameron" thread?

And because I'm pretty certain that only about 4 people on here know who he was, I'll be nice and tell you that he was the manager who won our first FA Cup and led us into the football league.

I saw him at the traffic lights in Loughton high road one time - big fella; but looked as confused by the traffic signals as he did on the sidelines.

And I saw Ramos in Zizzes in Loughton too; more handsome and younger looking than the media version.
