If we could.... Arnesen back ?

We really need a period of stability.
Ramos took the team apart and we consequently have no team spirit.
Redknapp is a good manager, we must give him time and support.

We always think that we are a couple of players off ManU, but that is clearly not the case, as demonstrated yesterday. If one team has inferior players, it nust compensate by competing for everything. That deflection that went up in the air for 5 secs with no Spurs challenge, illustrated it all. Harry needs time to build a team with character, not gutless primmadonnas.

We had two players off Man Utd yesterday in the form of Huddlestone and Zokora

I would love it. Arnesen actually recommended Jol in the first place, and got us a solid backbone.

I bet he'd bring Petric with him.

and rightly so. Why spunk £15m on Downing when Petric is as good a player at half the price. dont even get me started on S.Hunt.....

Like the others are saying I would take Arnesen back in a heart beat. He's gotta be one of the best DOF in the world and has a contact list that is never ending. Unfortunately with the dinosaurs we have in charge, who cannot and will not accept change, it aint gonna happen. The management in charge have made it crystal clear that they dont, and will not, work with a DOF. Shame really as our youth set up, which DC has down a outstanding job of, will suffer first. Mark my words on that!

Frankie Fridays were always a lot of fun. You'd think he planned his signings around the fans being in the pub after work.

Signing players nobody's heard of always creates decent pub banter.

Redknapp has already said he's here for the short term,
ideally we'd have Frank Arnesen back when Alex Inglethorpe is ready to take the step up with his youth players. I fear it's too much to hope for though.
I miss having a strong character in charge that I knew had a long term plan and shared his view with the head coach/manager.

I want Arnesan back. Even (and hopefully) at the expense of 'onest 'Arry

Harry Redknapp will never accept someone above him in that role.

It was why he left Pompey (Zajec?) and Southamption (Woodward)

ALso Levy said the DoF doesnt work and Comolli wont be replaced, and he can't lose face by going back on that.
Quite the reverse. He refused to accept it didn't work, saying the job titles are not important but the people in those positions are. He only dumped it because Harry would not have joined with a DOF at the club. Once Harry's gone, you can bet it will be the first thing on his agenda.

This would be fantastic, get the dream team back!

I liked Arneson and i can swallow my pride and accept him at Spurs once more. Jol as well and i would be happy.

But in reality this is not going to happen unless Daniel Levy leaves his post.

Bringing back the class of 2005-6 does not necessarily guarantee a return to the sucess of those days. We need to be very careful that any one brought back to the club (Defoe, Chimbonda etc) is able to do a job for the club now, in 2009.

No way.
Sorry.
Frankie is a grade 'A' charmer/bullshitter, but who has he actually helped produce for us?
Don't say Carrick, that was Svennis and Levy...

Oh come on, everyone of these players were known about, I don't think he was that great in terms of the players he purchased, Ziegler? Atouba? Silva? Pamarot? Davenport? Limbersky? Hallfredsson? Reid? Rasiak?

Yes he got some gooduns, but he got some shockers too.

... then he f**ked us in the bum.. NO THANK YOU

We need someone to keep the Acadamy going. I'm totally lost on whats happening in that department now. Who is in charge of signing the brightest up and coming players now? Redknapp hasn't done that before. West Ham had someone else in charge of finding young talent (can remember the guys name) while Redknapp was the one to manage them. So we definitely need to get someone in charge of the youth set up etc. Frank Arnesen coming back would be great imo.

Really? I can't remember him bringing in too many players who were massively successful. In fact I'm struggling to think of many who are still at the club.

I'm as concerned as anyone by Harry's current transfer 'policy' but I'm not sure judas frank was really that much of a star in the transfer market for us. Also I'm not sure how he really impacted on the rest of the club, and he obviously hasn't impressed at Chelsea either.

Have to remember where we were when he was having to overhaul the whole squad. Carrick anyone?
