Yes, optimism isn't the done thing is it?This thread is nauseatingly optimistic.

Nobody deserves trust automatically simply because we didn't like the guy(s) before him. Do you trust your present girlfriend simply because you split up with a few ladies in a row last year? And certainly nobody deserves to be declared "special" unless they in fact are. Save Mourinho, of course.Yes, optimism isn't the done thing is it?

After this season so far, Pochettino is like that 6/10 girl you settled for after your last girl, who was 6/10 also. You know that in your future, you will want a 8/10 girl, and the present one can reach that level in the future, but presently she hasn't proven that to any extent. What a dick.
Does my post in any way suggest sacking him? We have made our bed, and we have to lie in it.
We are being fed a shit sandwich at the moment. You might be able to eat it with a smile on your face but it doesn't mean everyone else can.
Only blind optimism allowed in this thread seemingly.
I think it's more hope than trust for me.Yes, optimism isn't the done thing is it?

Sorry it isn't. I mean, you are more than welcome to believe that, I care not. But you are wrong none the less.
What a shit analogy.
Mate, its pretty flawed. Ratings are entirely objective, what you may see as a 6/10 i could see as a 9/10.Sorry it isn't. I mean, you are more than welcome to believe that, I care not. But you are wrong none the less.
A very clear message delivered diplomatically to Levy and the board.http://www.london24.com/sport/footb..._secure_signings_in_transfer_window_1_4047758
Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham need to be “cleverer” than their big-spending rivals this summer and land the first punch by signing their targets early.
Spurs brought in Southampton’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell in November and have sought to develop their scouting network - and their head coach is keen to move quickly in the upcoming transfer window.
“If you punch before the opponent, you have half of the job done,” said Pochettino. “For us, it’s important to work hard during the season to take early decisions. This is always important in football.
“I think we need to be cleverer than the teams that invest more money than us. I’m happy that we have created a very strong institute now to follow the players around the world, and we need to arrive earlier than the teams that have more possibilities to invest than us.
“I think Tottenham have great potential to fight for the top four. Maybe it’s not easy to fight against Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea because they have behind them a big financial potential and every year they spend a lot of money and sign real players, who can perform right away.
“Maybe our project needs to be different. We need to create our own project, our own philosophy and we need to deliver it.
“Tottenham is different to other clubs – better or worse, I don’t know, but we need to create our own philosophy and be special, because we are Tottenham.
“We need to be clever and consistent and we need to fight for that. It’s a good opportunity now. That’s why I told you this season was one for transition, because weneed to settle our philosophy our own way to start to deliver next season.”
Pochettino added: “It’s harder [to be cleverer] because in football all people believe that they are clever. It’s never easy.
“But if you are strong, you have clear ideas and you are consistent and you work very hard, I think you can achieve everything.”

The rating is not really an exact impression of Poch. It's merely an example. The underlying point is, not one the three last head coaches is any better or worse than the two others. They are equally somewhere above average, but fairly forgettable in the big scheme of things. In the future, we need a head coach a level above what we've experienced over the last 2 seasons (inc. the present season). Can Poch reach that next level? Yes, maybe. Has he proven that he can, or is he worthy of being considered a representative fro that level presently? Not at all. The rating is just a number, the message lies elsewhere in the post.Mate, its pretty flawed. Ratings are entirely objective, what you may see as a 6/10 i could see as a 9/10.

Thank you for the compliment!Got a feeling your a 4/10 kinda guy.

He uses the word philosophy too much. Need to be more specific not just hot air.
He only needs to be specific when talking to the players. Not when talking to the media.
Given the results and inconsistent performances thus far it's hard to say he actually has anything specific to say.
What a dick.
