No one better has ever worn the Spurs shirt. A true legend, goalscorer and gentleman off the pitch.

God bless for a speedy recovery.

QUOTE="Teddy Klinsmann, post: 4579505, member: 15873"]@PA_dugout: Sad news reported by the family of Jimmy Greaves, who has had a "severe stroke" and is in intensive care aged 75. http://t.co/C8NAcZsEW

@PA_dugout: Greaves was due to be inducted into the @SpursOfficial Hall of Fame on May 13 and, of course, scored 44 goals in 57 games for England.[/QUOTE]
Very sad about this. I'm too young to remember his playing days but I used to love watching Saint and Greavsie. What a player he was and incredible to think that a player of his ability didn't get to play in the world cup final. I don't think that we could afford to pass up on talent like that these days.

Horrible news.

Why hasn't he been inducted yet? Have you seen some of the inductees so far?

Anyone heard/seen/read an update anywhere? Honestly though, at this point in time while dealing with severe strokes, no news is more good than bad.

The best striker this club has ever seen without question.
When I was growing up he was considered the best player in the country, not just the best striker. People forget he was AC Milan's leading scorer just based on half a season with them in 60-61 when they won their league. SIX times Div One's leading scorer, and then came pleurisy around about 65 and he really was never quite the same again. Keep going Jimmy, you can do it!
