Has he actually signed for PSG yet?
If not, what chances of a deal being struck by us as the window progresses.
Argentina keeper, rumours of Simeone too, may as well get Foyth and go for the hat trick.

With the obscene, and obscenely dodgy, Neymar deal, PSG now seem to be in the business of selling players under some pretence of FFP.

Aurier and Rabiot are both allegedly available for £20 million or so.

Given this, there's surely a chance that they won't be shellng out 13 million Euros on Foyth, and our offer may be the best one on the table for the young CB.

I would agree with this, I doubt PSG have any spending power after spunking £500m on wages and transfer fee... What an absolute joke that makes out of football.

no official confirmation but reports claims that veron confirmed that a deal was agreed between clubs, however there are some rumours that foyth himself prefers us to PSG

That's my line of thinking.
The initial reports were that PSG'd bid had been accepted, however there has been no confirmation the deal has gone through, plus there were reports he'd turned them down saying he wanted to come to Spurs.

No they haven't signed him.

Which makes it all the more funny when people claim Levy is slow at tying up deals and assuming "just pay up FFS" will make the deal always go through instantly.

Think PSG are going for someone else (a friend of friend's cousin told me it's a player from Spain) and need to save themselves £10m.

Yeah don't think 10mil means very much to them even with the Neymar deal. 10 mil is peanuts in comparison and if anything the Neymar deal would make it more likely for them to start making more 10mil deals than 50mil ones so the logic doesn't really stack up.

I wanted to ask a question about that, so I'll use you post.
Using the contract release clause is technically something the player does. The player activates de clause, he's the only one that can do it.
So in that case, PSG shouldn't have a problem with FFP. In any case Neymar is the one that should declare the origin of those 198m. But maybe there's something in the FFP that says how it works with release clauses

My comment was more tongue in cheek rather than an educated opinion.

Think there's a bit of flexibility about our squad now, which Poch appears to prefer.
So assuming the RB indicated in the ITK is either Toljan or Pereira, their ability to also play LB free's Davies up to cover Wimmer's departure. Then a young player like Foyth coming in at CB is not under so much instant pressure. Also means Walker-Peters will not be blocked for game time.
For what it's worth I think the lack of movement over Foyth's PSG move makes me think there's still a deal to be done there.

Just leaves AM & RW/CF to sort. Fingers crossed that at least one of those is the player suggested by JJ and GF, probably the RW/CF as Barkley is most likely the AM and wouldn't need to kept under wraps since its splashed all across the media.

I didn't post this because I didn't think anyone would care, but the Vice-President of Foyth's club said the deal to PSG was done.

Depends, if they give the money to Neymar and he pays it then it doesn't count, if they pay it directly then it does count.

However, PSG, have got in trouble for trying to circumvent to FFP rules before, and I suspect that this would count against them. La liga are likely to push for harsh conditions. I suspect PSG will have to sell, they three seasons to match FFP. This is what I think. Cos ultimately UEFA will probably do something when Barca is involved.

As far as I can tell it means the club has accepted the offer but the player hasn't.
But by all accounts we're not willing to pay what PSG will, so it's not like he has a choice between them and us.

But PSG agreed a fee some time ago now, the media stories suggest Foyth doesn't want to go, and is holding out for us. That could be either Spurs upping their bid to an acceptable level, or more likely PSG moving to an alternative target, and ours being the only deal left on the table.
