Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is still interested in Aston Villa's England international and had the Red Bull Salzburg winger watched this week.Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Red Bull Salzburg star Kevin Kampl to beef up his midfield, writes Neil Moxley in the Sunday People.

The Argentine had the 24-year-old watched at Celtic in the Europa League on Thursday, when the rapid right-winger helped dismantle Ronny Deila’s side.

Kampl has a contract with moneybags Salzburg that runs to 2019, but the wages on offer at the White Hart Lane club could tempt the German-born Slovenia international.

Pochettino is also still interested in Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph.

The newly-capped England ace is out with a shoulder injury at the moment, but Pochettino is desperate to add power to his stuttering engine-room.

The 25-year-old’s contract at Villa Park runs out next year and manager Paul Lambert may have little option but to cash in on him during the January transfer window, or risk losing the player on a Bosman for nothing.

i know its only a youtube vid BUT he looks pacey, can shoot and from what i saw is not selfish in bringing in other players. Get its just a YT vid but think you have to take each case individually.

That youtube compilation is the first time I've seen the guy, but I very much like what I see. Very quick mover with the ball, seems very alert of mind and excellent technique.

The only trouble with clips like that - even ones that long - is that they don't show you what he's doing the rest of the time, when he's not on the ball etc.

He's good on FIFA. Quick and a good dribbler. Shit at finishing though.

Ive seen him a few times in EL and been very impressed with him, nearly every game ive seen he's been Salzburgs best player. He does have alot of qualities like you said and from what i've seen he doesnt go missing off ball and does make alot of good runs., think he could be quality for us.

No idea really. Mane did score more goals at Salzburg but Kampl is without a doubt the better player imo. As far as I know Kampl was voted best player in the league last season.

Watched Salzburg a couple times last season, hard team to judge because they're much better than most teams they play in Austria and had a coach fully focused on attack in Schmidt.

I will say that Basel completely shut him down in Europa League last season and having recently watched Slovenia v Switzerland, he was pretty unimpressive there too. Also dived, which I don't particularly like.
