Looking at previous post, having won the Asian games like Son, I'm thinking he'd only have to do a few weeks service.

Was it not by the time of circa 28/29 years of age also.
That's solid then. No idea about him as a football player other than the video posted. No idea how the link has come about.

I'm guessing our supposed link is partly to do with the markets we'll be trying to exploit due to lack of funds.

Namely, free agent, last year of contract and unproven surplus to requirements cheap players.

I don't care if he is good or not. I love Koreans (that might make me a racist these days). Love how they just get on with it.

Usually Korean players get out of their country ,most go to Bundesliga very early. They get used to the European way of playing and facing the caliber of opponents from 18-20 yrs or even get youth football education like Sonny in Europe.

In this guy's case, he is 23 - his move as been from Korea to China. He may be cheap - but he will have a very steep learning curve - not sure if thats easy to crack.

He has played 30 International games : most of them against lower ranked Asian countries. He has played 3 big friendly of note against Brazil Colombia, Poland - thats it.

This will be a high risk signing for us...wont be a ready made signing...Hope we look for other options.

I don't think we have any particular interest here, he's just being punted by agent.

The question will be are Sanchez, Dier, Toby plus Tanganga/Davies sufficient when Jan and possibly Foyth go? Can any Foyth money be directed to other positions?

I don’t mind high risk so long as it’s entwines with high potential.

The defensive skill and the passing ability shown in the video may well be enhanced by playing poor opposition but the pace will be there wherever he plays, and he looks rapid.

If we ended up with this guy, who’s a touch younger than Sanchez, and had him, Sanchez as mid twenties centre backs, Tanganga as a youth and Dier just coming into his prime, and still with Toby just exiting his peak, we have a very strong collection. It also protects us should Dier decide to not renew his contract, though I sincerely hopehe does.

Currently wears the number 2 shirt, don’t want no centre back wearing 2 in these here parts!

(still havent’t got over Clint Dempsey wearing it... :nailbiting:).

Depending on the fee I am happy for us to take a punt on him. Think we need 5 centre backs over a full season for adequate cover/rotation for form and injuries.

We know that Dier, Sanchez, Toby & Tanganga are going to be options. I am all for bringing him in to see if he can make the step up. It gives us the chance to loan out Foyth so he can gain some drastically needed experience.

Cant see there being a huge fee or wages, he has ability as we can see, whether that ability will hold up here is another thing. Also the Son factor should really help him settle.

This guy can pass like Toby, he is a monster in the air and for his size surprisingly good speed, i reckon he could do a bang on good job as a DEF mid too, he turn Def to attack very very well

15 mil is a bargain punt nowadays, would be worth signing to see how he develops. And the resell would be decent; however it could always be another Khumalo.

I have!

Fortunately under Poch we were quite neat and tidy but Mourinho is that kinda bastard to give a centre back the number 2! :nailbiting:
