No idea about the quality of opposition in those clips, but he looks like a laboratory grown blend of Jan and Toby with pace. How's that for hype?!
If he can do it on a cold, rainy night in Stoke, we're set.No idea about the quality of opposition in those clips, but he looks like a laboratory grown blend of Jan and Toby with pace. How's that for hype?!
I thought that about Sonny in his first season - look how that turned out.... perhaps 2 birds with one stone?I worry that this signing will be more for commercial benefit rather than guaranteed quality to add to our defence. I'm sure Jose would have a list of defenders he would prefer over this guy, but I could be wrong.
maybe the plan’s to loan tanganga out???
Forgot about foyth, would still leave five thoughVertonghen will leave and Foyth probably too(hopefully on loan).
I wouldn’t be against this but I don’t see why we need 5 cb’s unless Vertonghen isn’t the only one to leave in the summer

I’d prefer we had a proper rb but we love a square peg in a round holeI think Tanganga will be back up RB next season
Son was playing in a far more competitive league and was playing some decent football. This guy is coming from a bang average league with little to zero top level football experience. He will take quite some time to adjust.I thought that about Sonny in his first season - look how that turned out.... perhaps 2 birds with one stone?
I personally think it’d be a wasted year of development for tanganga, if we needed a fifth cb we could use Davies there and Walcott recently made his debut for us so I’d hope we see him as having a future with us. I know Davies is the starting lb but there’s been reports of Jose seeing sessegnon’s future and lb and he’s talked up cirkin so I think we’d be ok. Obviously any of these players leaving be it permanent or on loan would change the situationDefinitely need 5, especially when one (Tanganga) is also an auxiliary full back and another (Dier) is likely to still be needed for the odd midfield stint. Also gives us the option to comfortable switch too a 3 if we ever need to. Then there’s the fact that Toby is on the slide, so we need to succession plan.
Apart from that one video where he looks rapid I have no clue about Kim, but if he is of requisite quality (or potentially) then It could be a very shrewd piece of business.

Yeh your right, I mean we really need to crack that luxurious South Korean market!I worry that this signing will be more for commercial benefit rather than guaranteed quality to add to our defence. I'm sure Jose would have a list of defenders he would prefer over this guy, but I could be wrong.
I suspect it will take a good season for Kim to adjust to the league, manager and quality of the PL anyway. If we were to look at such a player it would be with the long term in mind, not next season. For what it's worth he is also military exempt.I wouldn’t be against this but I don’t see why we need 5 cb’s unless Vertonghen isn’t the only one to leave in the summer

One is leaving and two are injured, sometimes we can play three at the back, so need more options/competition for places?
