Poch couldn't pick a player to save his life, he thought Foyth was the next Maldini.

José made some clangers at Man U (Lindelof / Sanchez to name names) so I’ll wait and see how Fernandes and Steve work our first before putting my now cynical trust in him after the heart break of Poch’s demise with us. ;-)

Not saying I don’t want to trust José, but this season has made me cynical about spurs and how we run things and recruit.

So the German newspaper De Build are now reporting he’ll join Herta Berlin. Okey...

While Lindelöf isn't a world beater he's definitely not a clanger. Been one of their better players this season.
Anyway I'm pretty sure he was a Woodward buy as well along with most of the players signed in Mourinhos Man U spell.

I have a hard time believing we'd let him go to a lower-half Bundesliga side if we were really desperate for him and didn't have over options preferable in either price or quality. But then again, it's Tottenham.

If we want to loan him with an option it's either because there would be some doubts on his ability to make it here or because we need to be creative with the use of our transfer funds.

What concerns me is that the Giroud rumours are true. Not because I wouldn’t take him ( I most definitely would), but because Chelsea won’t deal with us and will probably take great pleasure in fucking things up for us at the last minute.

It has all the hallmarks of a classic Spurs balls up.

I think Lindelof is a decent player and Sanchez was brilliant but he was burntout when he got to Man.u and hasn't been able to recover.
Don't look at just two signings in isolation, look at Jose's signings across his career or more importantly look at what he's achieved with clubs and one of the main reasons for his achievements is that he know how to mould a strong functioning squad, he weeds out the rot and bad eggs, he strengtherns the weaknesses and he gets everyone pulling together in a seige mentality.

COYS.

But that’s not a very good strategy for what is a crucial signing this window is it?

Bloody typical that the one signing we can't seem to conclude is the one of most need. We need to get it done or just move on.

Maybe he just isn't that good that we want to commit to a deal. I don't want us signing someone for the sake of filling a position

Well it's not exactly the best sign that it's Hertha Berlin, I suppose. Not like they'd be snagging Milan's best players.
