Mourinho should be waiting at the dressing room door and I'm my opinion he should be sticking his boot up everyone's arse as they make their way in, and on the way out for that matter, as that's what they need.

Lazy performance so far and were very lucky to still be level.

Come on lads, wake up, that wasn't anywhere near good enough !

I guess we all managed to kid ourselves, but maybe, just maybe, Gareth Bale just isn't all that anymore?

I kind of get the feeling he was very much a Levy signing. Hard to see exactly where he fits in Jose’s system, at least in a way that’s effective and influential

Doherty is not a good right back. He was good as a wing back at Wolves but honestly he's not looking like the solid signing most of us thought he would be.
Yeah I think the thinking behind the signing was odd. Even the original intention of playing him as a very attacking fullback with Davies slipping into a back 3 out of possession has never really worked - we tried it against Everton and Richarlison could've scored a hat trick given the space Doherty left behind. He also looks pure gash tonight with Davies in the side.

Now that we have Reguilon who is always going to bomb forward, Doherty is reduced to being a defensive, sitting RB, which not only is he bang average at, but also completely negates his best qualities (i.e. the very reasons we signed him) which are his attacking link up play in the box and his finishing.

Frustrating but if this is the way we're going to play we really would've been better off keeping KWP, or at the very least, signing a physical, specialist RB in his place, rather than trying to shoehorn a WB in there.

Not as bad as I was expecting, after reading the comments at the start but yes, there is some sloppy shit going on.
Lucas doing his best to prove that he's an impact sub, Doherty seems to be feeling the pressure of the move and Sanchez as calm and composed as usual!
My biggest worry so far though, is that Sonny is at the start of one of his dodgy spells at the moment.

Bunch of primadonas thinking they can score whenever they want.

Need a way better performance in the second half.

very disappointing performance so far. hard to single people out because they’ve all been poor apart from probably Japhet and Hart.

was expecting more from Bale tonight. and our full backs are wholly disappointing.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, and not just this game, I think the Doherty doesn’t suit our system and Tanganga will vie with Aurier for the RB spot.
Jose has already stated he sees him as a RB so I reckon you're right. He lacks athleticism, he lacks aggression and he's quite easy to beat with no recovery. He's easily been the poorest of our new signings.

But it's given Aurier a kick up the backside so it's all good. Hopefully Tanganga can do a good job there.

Sanchez behind. Either he will always pass back to Hart for him to pump upfront, or he will just do it himself with no target in mind.
He is not the only one, others are just as culpable. Their full backs are out running ours on the flanks. How can people still say that Doherty is an upgrade on Aurier? Slip aside, he has been schooled by their full back.

Why can’t the players learn (without being told) to slow it down, pass it around for a bit to build confidence, to build possession and take control?
To create the feeling that they are in control.
At the moment...every ball is a speculative ball.
50/50 as to whether we maintain possession.
It’s not necessary.
Spurs, unfortunately, are still a ‘confidence’ side....and need to play accordingly.

It makes me laugh that 90% of fans were calling for that midfield. Sure it is only 45 minutes but it went exactly how I thought it would. Maybe, just maybe, the managers know more than fans?

This midfield still has the potential to be our best.
If Jose thought this midfield wasn't going to work, he wouldn't be playing them together.

I know I shouldn't give up on a player less than half way through a season, but for an experienced PL player Doherty has looked absolute turd so far.

Best team by a mile played all the football, all they seem to do was punt long balls forward but they never won one header nor one second ball, they never troubled us at the back at all.

Said a LASK supporter most probably.

And he'd be right.

Honestly, can we just stop with the long balls.

Dele will likely get on at some point and has a real chance to make a point after that shambles

Antwerp was pretty shockingly bad - Bournemouth away was also so so bad. So was Everton at home this season
Bournemouth definitely. Everton I was willing to overlook given the circumstances (Ndombele and Lo Celso unavailable, seemingly a third of the squad had no preseason due to Covid, transfer business half complete). Antwerp was bad but at least they have some quality.

If LASK had any quality in attack they could genuinely have scored 3 or 4, that’s what was so shocking for me.
