Is it not that they are missing their midfield and need players like Jota and Matip back?

I'd love to revel in their demise but I would hold our horses on that just now. You're right about their midfield though. It is a big problem for them.
I saw a Liverpool fan say that whem Thiago plays and is fit they play much better

Which makes you wonder if Klopp changed their way if playing to adjust to him but when he's injured, they cant play that way.

Everyone knew that Thiago was going to pick up injuries so to build around him is idiotic.

I had the misfortune of listening to talksport on the way back. I find cundy and O'hara nauseating with their incessant "bantering".

However, I found it odd to hear liverpool fans defending klopp because his team are tired after playing 65 games last season. They were intimating that the players will be less tired as the season wears on. I'm not sure how that works ?‍♂️.

Also wouldn't it be klopps responsibility to make sure the players are fresh?
They played 6 Pre season friendlies if you include the charity shield, City on the other hand played 3.

Is their squad going same way we did under Poch, where it’s gone a bit stale and perphaps the high pressing way they play has physically knackered some of the players?

And also maybe squad not refreshed enough, they have bough Nunez and Diaz, which was good planning up too but midfield has perhaps gone a bit stale?

Although Elliott has done well in the midfield three but they only have the one specialist defensive midfielder in Fabinho.

I know they’ve won it recently, but I wonder if they’re suffering a CL Final hangover in much the way we did prior to Poch getting the bullet.

God they never miss a chance to prove how vile they are.

Fans (in the replies) now calling for Henderson to leave the club because he’s given condolences on behalf of the club.

They are going to absolutely embarass themselves and the club tomorrow night when a large portion of their fans boo the minute silence.

Scummiest club in the world and a real shame they've had such a good side the last 5 years, because frankly they deserve fuck all

Finally the world will see them for what they are.
Media won’t be able to gloss over it (surely)

I hope the fan base doesn’t expose themselves for what they really often are. If they show disrespect, ground closure for next game imho…same with Celtic, if they hate the British establishment so much, feel free to resign from SFA and join Irish league

Think it's a worthwhile complaint though - they played every game they were eligible for last year and they lost right at the very end of the two they wanted most. They should've invested but the feeling of being so close yet so far and needing to pull yourself back up again reminds me of us post CL final.

Had to explain to my (foreign) student the other day, why the pl may be worried about 'certain' clubs disrespecting the queen during a minutes silence.

He pressed me on it as he was baffled and I had to tell him, it's really only Liverpool fans.

So then I had to explain to him that Liverpool fans and city feel they have been slighted by everyone over the years for footballing and non footballing events and some even don't see themselves (don't want to be) part of England.

There are only so many words I can use to describe the word 'twats'.

I actually would be in favour of an escape from LA style wall around Liverpool. While we're at it we should rebuild Hadrian's wall to stop any fans from Glasgow coming into the country.

Why do Liverpool fans boo the national anthem?

John Gibbons from Liverpool fan podcast The Anfield Wrap said he was "surprised" the booing became front page news.

"It happened at the Carabao Cup final a few months ago and it happened in 2012 [FA Cup final] when we played the same opposition," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"What I would say to anyone buying these headlines is maybe look into why Liverpool fans act this way, why they feel a disconnect from the country and disconnect from a royal family sat on gold thrones telling people they are going to have tough times ahead.

"It's something Liverpool fans feel strongly about. It's a city that wants to be vocal about how we think this country should be and how we should live in a fairer society."

Gibbons called on people who criticised the protest to "maybe come up to Liverpool and speak to people and visit the food banks and see how some people in this city are struggling".

I know it isn't as simple as this but Gibbons reasoning does reek of excuse.

Perhaps then boo your club as well for spending many millions on footballers if that's the overriding feeling in the city. I'd also place a fairly hefty bet that a significant number booing aren't even from Liverpool.

I'd also add that who the fuck do they think they are? A disconnect from the country? People aren't struggling all over? It's just there? Just them?

The trouble is, you can't punish a club for the actions of it's fans. The club won't feel this way, nor will thousands of decent supporters. There's nothing much they can do if people decide to boo.

However, I do understand there's a special hatred for them and wanting to see them punished in glorious ways is the popular feeling on here :D

Fuck them. But, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this went either way. It'll either get booing or be perfectly observed, my feeling is that they'll behave. As others have said if they boo, there should be no excuses.
