They are actually at West ham levels of ridiculous, infact since Moyes has steadied the ship there, I'd say their worse.

Manchester United have become a joke club.

Apparently ragnick recommended 5 players to them, and also kulusevski in January. They ignored him and are now just buying what ten hag wants. It's amateur hour.

I think we may be talking about a big 5 rather than a big 6 soon in the pl.

Having seen us go from meltdown to being competent it can be done in a fairly quick time, but you need to be brutal and pick the correct players.

If man United got rid of Maguire for a top class CB, got a proper cm in and a striker they'd be looking much better. Not to say a title challenge but a decent side. As it stands though, they've struggled massively.

Another thing to keep in mind is that players go there and become worse. Sancho was one of the most exciting young players in Europe and he's been so poor at United.
I think it needs a lot more than that, certainly if they want to be challenging for the PL, or even top 4.

The only players in their squad right now that can mount a top 4 challenge are: De Gea, Fernandes and Eriksen. I think both Varane and Sancho can be brought back to their previous levels with the right coach, but even then that leaves them 3 defenders short, one midfielder short and two forward players short of a first 11.

De Gea doesn't even work in a Ten Hag system as he can't pass for shit, while there are already question marks among United fans about Bruno's ability to work in a possession-based team as he keeps going for the Hollywood pass 40 times a game and giving the ball away.

Even half of the good players that have are questionable fits for their new manager.

Looking forward to the EPL return of Dusan Tadic in the near future :)

Given Ramsey was on something insane like 400k p/w by Juve for signing on a free, I imagine Rabiot, who also signed on a free, is on crazy money too.

Love Paratici but he really shat the bed at Juve with those 2 signings.

If United have any sense they'll run a mile. Rabiot is an alright player, but the last thing they need in another middling signing on silly money.
I say sign him up United :) ??

And that's why I hope they panic-sign a lot of players :)

I think the ghost of Fergusson in the background of the club is another issue for any manager there. Apparently he still has the ear of the Glaziers

Honestly, it's like he doesn't want anyone to overshadow his tenure there.

It's the only explanation I can think of.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think they've managed to hang onto Phil Jones though.

There's more to it than that. Richard Arnold, MU's Chief Exec, has appointed Ferguson to a 4 man "advisory board", also including David Gill, to set the future direction of the club.

Potter had that dig in his post match press conference on Sunday, although it's gone under the radar. I'm assuming he was talking about them or the scum.

From what I've read before Matt Busby did virtually the same sort of things Fergie's doing now post-retirement.

And in that period they didn't win a title in what, 27 years?

You would've thought somebody would shift through the history books or speak to someone who was around the club in the 70s and 80s to try to avoid this exact same scenario playing out once again.

That’s fanciful. Even if they were to spend the season fighting relegation this year, they’d still be the biggest club in the country, if not the world.

There’s no way they won’t be in the conversation about the big clubs.

To be honest the only reason the conversation has morphed from talking about the “top 4” to the “big 6” is because United and Arsenal have dropped out of the top four. It’s not even like pundits and commentators talk about the top six it’s the big six because they know that sometimes the big clubs underperform and drop lower.

Ha ha... Rangnick ???

Sasa Kalajdzic is one of a number of strikers Manchester United are looking at right now and sources close to the Stuttgart forward claim he wants to move to Old Trafford.

Austria international Kalajdzic has entered the final year of his contract and is thought to be of interest to United as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his forward line before the window closes.

However, Austria head coach and former United interim manager Ralf Rangnick said Kalajdzic's development would not be harmed if he stayed at Stuttgart.
