That was the worst performance this season by a long way

what’s killing us is giving the ball away cheaply. Not looking after it. That’s what both of their goals came from giving up cheap possession.

Another poor performance against a top half team. Our strikers again non existent in these bigger statement games.

Our style of play is obvious it is effective when our players are at it however once the pressure is applied we lose all function.

Many questions to answer

We keep not turning up for these sort of games, as a fan it's incredibly disheartening fuck knows how the players must feel.
here's a novel idea if you're a player - try your fkn bollocks off ...run for the team, your team mates and leave it all on the pitch. if you lose, you get applauded by all fans as you played for the shirt! Today the players were shit ...they constantly took the easy options (sideways & backwards passes), not one tried to make vertical passes or runs - they all stood still. So yeah, as fans we have every right to feel fucked off because that was a piss poor effort (mentally and physically). These players should ask themselves to stop being cowards in these big games

Hope everyone shouting for 3-5-2 now understands why we dont start with it more often.

Players looked absolutely lost with the formation, Bissauma was a passenger, either pressed too far up or was so far deep he was barely near the ball most of the time, Hojberg and Bentancur did their best but also looked uncertain where to be as they're used to being deeper and closer together..

There's a reason Conte sticks with the 3-4-3 as it's drilled into the players, they know the system and where to be and when.

Doesn't help Utd decide to play like prime 08' Barcelona everytime we play them, fucking Fred playing like prime Modric everytime aswell.

First time since Conte joined im fuming after such a poor performance. That was really really bad.

Fucking hell that was a weak performance. Weak mentally and physically. Didn't look prepared for the fucking game.

Too slow on and off the ball. Not enough quality on it. And they looked like they gave the game up after conceding the first goal. Then Conte did give it up with about 10 to go. That ain't good enough.

Ideal scenario is we back into top 4 and Conte walks at the end of this year. This club is regressing under him.

Eh? Best ever start to a premier league season. 79 points from his first 38 games (3rd most in the league). 3rd most goals scored. 4th best defence.

Yes tonight was a shambles but let’s not make up total bollocks.

It was obvious from about the fifth minute that Hojbjerg was gassed. Surely it’s better giving a fresher Skipp a game rather than playing a chugging Pierre.

Not that it would have affected the game a great deal, but if we keep running the same players into the ground, we’re going to see a lot more of this over the next month.

I saw a stat earlier today that said PEH had played all but 2 out of the last 86 games. Too much.

You know who i feel sorry for… Jamie O’Hara. All week that man has been losing his head over the criticism spurs have been getting this season, well he is going to be hammered tonight!

I’ve honestly not got a clue what Conte’s plan was tonight. We’ve not pressed. We’ve not really tried to hit them on the break other then once or twice. We’ve sat back and knocked it across our back three and invariably either given away a throw in 20yds from the bye line or hit an aimless ball to Kane with no runners going beyond him.

Nearly 30 shots on our goal is shameful - especially when we’re supposedly set up to control the midfield.

Games like this say so much about Spurs. We’re flat track bullies and not a single one of those players has an ounce of fight in them. When we’re under pressure we wilt. We have a niaive streak in this club a mile wide - the amount of stupid fouls we give away, constantly diving in, trying to play out from the back with a keeper who is so iffy with the ball at his feet it’s untrue. And it doesn’t seem to change regardless who is the manager.

I laugh at this because the very thing people have thought Arsenal would be, we actually are, flat track and I wouldnt even call it bullies just a sneaky jab.

Maybe the 3-5-2 only works when we change midway and the opposition doesn’t have enough time to figure out a way to beat it? Maybe we are just shit.

It should have been Bentacur and Bissouma sitting deep and Hojbjerg getting forward. (Not the game to have 2 getting forward and 1 sitting)

Instead, none got forward and none really defended.... Fullbacks had to sit deeper (not that they get forward a lot anyway) to cover their wide forwards. So we just sat back...

There’s a massive difference between a shit performance and all of our players being shit. Hojbjerg isn’t shit - he had a terrible game by his standards so far this season. Bentancur too. There were very few positives but let’s not slag our entire team off

Looking at this game specifically, it was like turning the clock back to the bad old days of Ferguson when we went to Old Trafford and got mauled up there and offered nothing and got nothing.

United were first to the ball, sharper in the tackles, showed much more urgency and the 2-0 scoreline doesn't begin to show how dominant they were over us in every aspect of tonight's game.

A thoughrougly miserable watch. No glossing over it, I'm calling this 90 mins how I saw it.

We need a much stronger reaction at the weekend, and the Newcastle game will be no walk in the park, I expect a tough game. We need to put this one behind us ASAP.....

Pathetic performance. Honestly, we looked like relegation fodder. No exaggeration. You almost never see teams totally dominated for 90 minutes like that.

Honestly, f*ck the patterns and the process - that was dire

It's not only one game though, the way we play is predictably bad. I think there is a bigger problem here.

The issue is it isnt just one game. At times we have played well but more often than not we have flattered to deceive. That performance some will say its the players - we lost against a team that had Fred who if you asked you would swap for any of our three midfielders, wont would say no. They didnt have Eriksen nor Martial who is their best striker

Im not gonna get exasperated over this but that was a shockingly bad performance and this whole sitting back business has got to stop. We do need Kulusevski but do we really rely on one player?

I agree but I mean this is the one game that has left me very discouraged. I've been somewhat disappointed with the majority of our games this season with regards to purely the performance but not really discouraged with what the future holds in mind like after that.

I wouldn't pay to watch us with the way we are now I have to be honest.

That was inexplicably poor. Why did Conte leave it so late to change things up? The way it was going, chuck Spence, Gil etc. on and give them a proper go to try and change things because we were clearly not going to get back into it any other way…
