I’d be interested in seeing Poch return just for a change in style but I dont see Conte getting sacked while we’re still 4th and challenging for it, he’d have to walk.

Enough of this nonsense, bring me the greatest manger of my Tottenham supporting life, back to the lane. He’s achieved just as much as this tosser in charge of us now when he had the same amount of money at his disposal. And a lot more in more difficult financial situations. What’s he ever one nonsense is boring. He’s overachieved everywhere he’s ever been,, funnily enough tge one place where he’s seen as not over achieving, is the club he won the bloody league managing. The main thing for me is he a su loves the club and deserves to be the man to get backed and really bring the glory glory days back to Tottenham Hotspur.

I’d prefer he didn’t return, but I’d be okay with it provided it’s after a calculated process. Getting him in now is a bandaid and failing to explore all options. If Conte was to go before the summer, I’d want a caretaker. Then in the summer take your damn time and make a decision based around a longer term project that the whole club (including the new guy) top to bottom agrees upon. One that will be stuck to through adversity and followed religiously.

I strongly think if Poch came back it would only work if pretty much every single one of his old players left. Dier, Davies, Son, Sanchez, Lloris, those on loan. Kane, Sess, and Skipp (would obviously keep) have the strongest arguments for staying, but I think Kane’s leaving anyway and Sess isn’t good enough. It is just too soon. 3 years isn’t nearly enough time, especially when he hasn’t proven himself elsewhere in the meantime or showed evidence of improvement as a manager. It’s not like he’s a level above other candidates in terms of quality. And above all, this club needs a factory reset, and Poch isn’t that.

Pointless bringing in a caretaker. We aren’t getting relegated and may conceivably make things worse than they already are. Especially amongst our key players who would be entitled to ask wtaf is going on. Makes zero difference if we make CL or not as has been proven also. If Conte is off in the Summer, we should already have his replacement signed up. Provisional pre-season plans, training, incomings/outgoings, etc. No chance obviously. Will faff around for weeks as per last time out.

We forgetting him lifting his skirt up for United and Madrid whilst he was with us?

Nothing different from what Conte has done by threatening to walk for not getting what he wants. It’s obvious now Poch behaved like that because it was the only thing that worked to get his own way (or even a little bit) with levy.

Said this before but I do think Poch is the perfect coach for shifting the players holding us down.

RIGHT NOW he knows their limitations. A new coach would need a preseason and time to convince Levy.

Poch will tell him before he takes the job. Poch needs to bery smart though to get that and not let Levy trip him up.

He needs a chairman and director of football who can sell players though. With the huge amount we owe on transfers and also the inability to shift high earning players on high wages, we are pretty screwed.

Options are a lot more limited getting a new permanent guy in mid-season. For example, I want De Zerbi, but that’s impossible til the summer. Mason til then + De Zerbi >>>>>>> Poch now. Short term pain for long term gain. That’s just an example. In reality I’d much prefer Conte till then then reassess. The overall point is we need to make sure we can explore every single avenue in a calculated fashion so we make the best appointment after a period of internal reflection on why we’re stuck in this stupid cycle of appointments without a plan. Maybe the club already has that plan and they’re all in agreement to commit to a certain guy now and stick with him and the plan for the long term. I highly doubt that though.

Most of us are still scarred from the last managerial search.

Me too lol. But it’s clear that time there was a ton of panic. Lurching from Fonseca to Gattuso to Nuno wildly. In reality they should have settled down before frantically ending up at Nuno and done some serious soul searching. I think fan pressure due to a lack of manager and the panic I mentioned above after the public humiliation of the search caused them to hire Nuno hastily. I want to make it clear I have very little faith in this club to go through a calculated search successfully, and given the idiots in charge I can definitely think of worse outcomes then getting Poch now, but I can only live in hope they do the right thing and do it the right way this time. Otherwise what’s the point in supporting a club. It’s just super painful and I want this incompetence to end.

Can you join the club as a recruitment consultant? This is what rags me off so much. This stuff is simple. If posters on a forum can see what is needed, why can’t Levy? Fucking asshat man. Levy. Not you.

Huge issue with him coming back is he won't want to work with a DOF and our best transfer results recently have been from paratici

If Poch did come back, he would have a more than decent group of mid to high-potential players who've never played under him (besides Skipp) that he could imprint his ideas and have them performing at a high level. Our wingback/fullback and CM's options are where I can see him having the most developmental impact.

Devine - AM/CM - 18
Scarlett - ST - 18
Sarr - CM/DM - 20
Udogie - LWB/LB- 20
White - CM/DM - 21
Skipp - CM/ DM- 22
Deki - AM/RM- 22
Gil - RW/LW - 22
Spence - RB/RWB - 22
Porro - RB/RWB- 23
Romero - CB - 24
Royal - RB/RWB - 24
Rodon - CB - 25
Bentancur - CM/DM- 25
Richarlison - ST/LW - 25
Bissouma - CM/DM - 26
