I got my renewal email yesterday, for the first time I’m really thinking of cancelling.
Im 300 on the waiting list for a season ticket and got offers one last season but with Covid, my wife’s redundancy, 2 young kids and the utter shite we’ve been served for the last few seasons I feel £1k will be far better spent elsewhere.
So membership is £45 for a £15 voucher? No box, scarf, pin just a £15 voucher and a place on a waiting list. Levy really does think we are mugs.
I have never felt so disconnected to the club

So… I’m around 18,000 on the list but I’ve just received a voicemail from the club to discuss my ‘season ticket options’

I cancelled my membership last year due to a combination of personally being situation surrounding the pandemic and the clubs decision with regards to furlough. Things quickly figured themselves out on the personal front and I was looking to renew my membership for the upcoming season but going to hold fire whilst the remaining parts of this ESL situation pan out. I think that's another situation which will resolve fairly quickly but looking forward to being able to go games again next season.

I just checked my son's membership renewal - last year he was 85000 or so on the waiting list - this year he is 62000. Quite a big jump.

I cancelled my renewal for the same disconnect. Was something like 8k in the waiting list

Cancelled mine last year and lost 15 years worth of loyalty points (although they are fairly pointless now we have so many ST holders).
Was going to renew this year, but can't be arsed. Honestly haven't missed going to games (went to about 10 a year) and will spend the money instead elsewhere.
Been drifting away for a 3 or 4 years now, going to games was the only thing keeping me interested, Covid and the shutdown has just accelerated an inevitable decision as far as I was concerned.

Definitely with you here. I am a ST holder and have been able to defer for it for last year and for next year due to health so financial not at a loss. I am mainly keeping the ST because I know my son will want to go when he is old enough.

I got rid of mine last year after they still wanted to charge £60 for literally nothing.

After the past few weeks I haven’t even considered signing up again.

My little ones gift pack has always been better than mine. Luring the little ones into a false sense of security
Last year they were sending out boxes of goodies to children to cheer them up in lockdown. I requested them for my Grandsons and I reckon they must have got at least £150 worth of Spurs goodies each. It was amazing!

Just logged into my one hotspur+ account to check something and i'm being asked to verify my id, which I thought was for season ticket holders only? (will be fun If I have to as I have no passport or driving licence (or indeed any photo id!) , so lord knows what they'll ask for!)

I think if you want to buy a ticket, then you have to have photo ID as all tickets are on phones now. The same applies if a friend in your 'network' wanted to transfer his ticket to you (when that's allowed again).

I have just cancelled. I have been a member for I dont know 25yrs I suppose, worked my way up the list and became a ST holder. Then the ST prices for the new stadium became too ridiculous I have other considerations and could not justify the asking price so I gave up my ST. After all that they stuck me at the back to 66k on the list so much for loyalty huh? Now they want us to hand over £48 + we have to pay a processing fee? For this we get what? a £15 voucher??? NO!!! Had enough!! I love THFC thats in my blood cant be removed but now they really are taking the fans for granted and are actually taking the piss and thats not right. Now I will spend my £50 and buy a home shirt or something. I have never felt so disconnected from the club until now. The players dont seem to want to play especially the games that matter, the management just want our cash?? I know the world changes but this is too much... there used to be a club over there.......

Further to my last on this, I used to save the stupid member packs got them going back years and the pins I have a sticky board full of Spurs pins a few scarves and coasters and things they were important and now they say hand over the cash but we will not give you anything substantial in return.. an online voucher most will probably never use. I used to get a Birthday card every year, Im a grown man but his year and last no card and I missed them. The divide between club and fan is ever bigger ever vast and I dont think it will ever be the same again.
