No they had just started to hit form and now have Mikatarian which they hadn't had all season. Typically we play them at the wrong time again
IMO we dealt with him quite well.. It was the jittery and patchy form united has at OT that we should exploit, but we respected them too much.. The crowds knew that and just growing in voices..

I don't buy the whole mentality thing at the moment, let's be honest this wasn't a Newcastle away.
Isn't that's the issue, against the big sides we fall, highlighting our incapacity to take something away from these traditional big boys, when in past season and a half, in terms of footballing results, they were inconsistent, having managerial upheavals, and not showing results expected more from them..

After which Poch said he'd root out a few. I'm glad you mentioned it because it had slipped my mind. If you look at who left in the summer, i'm not sure that for one reason or another that it actually happened.
Maybe like somewhat mentioned elsewhere, Poch just has an obsession with power.. No coincidence he changes his role from coach to manager..

That's a new one on me....... he was absolutely disgusted at the performace at Newcastle and was reacting to that. It goes to show that its easy to read what's not there into anything.

I'm not sure where the idea that suddenly he's a power crazed dictator comes from :D

And all Managers are power crazed dictators. Anyone wanting to be a manager wants to be in charge. Like a politician. I really enjoying this let's come up with a reason why we aren't great at the mo! Wonder how far it will go

It's pretty simple, just like Leicester last season we 'over-achieved'. How could you argue any of the teams above us are worse? We have the 5th-6th best team in the league and you cannot hide that fact, no matter how good the manager is it will always come back to the quality of the squad

And how could you not accept they are worse?? Past few seasons showed we rose to certain expectations and beat some teams so-called-by-divine-rights that should be above us.. And for a few seasons we were above Liverpool in standings.. United finished below us last season and was in poor form this season despite their spending.. City has a calamity keeper in Bravo and we beat them convincingly this season..
We 'over achieved' or the others 'under achieved' are nothing less than relative.. On factual and simpler terms, it is exactly better or worse..
