Play the same cast of characters and you get the same performance we have been seeing.

Desperately need a spark from somewhere and maybe just one new face could give us that

Have we signed sessegnon’s brother by mistake, Jesus Christ, looks so scared to take anyone on or even sprint by someone. WTF

We really need to cash in while we still can with Dele. He slows things down so much when reviving the ball deep rather than moving it quickly. His incessant attempt to flick the ball at every opportunity is eye gougingly frustrating and as for his theatrics, at least make it look realistic.... If he were an actor he'd be holyoaks at best!

We just need a club whose scouts only watch MOTD.

Getting so bored of the Dele criticism. He's playing out of position again.

Don't understand why Dele is being played so deep when Mourinho himself that he needs to play high up the pitch.

True but, as others have mentioned, some of the mistakes he makes, nobody can excuse. He slows the game down massively, granted that’s not his true role, he can’t create from deep and doesn’t have much vision in them positions. As you say, he should play as far away from our goal as possible.

The biggest issue is the underhit passes, poor first touch and giving possession up so easily at times, that can’t be excused really. His decision making is criminal at times

One of the most frustrating players I’ve ever watched. Clearly plenty of talent there but he has some serious flaws.

I am not watching this game but I believe our beloved Spurs is playing the slowest football you have ever seen.

Dele would be better playing up top, I'm not really sure what he's supposed to be doing, just floating around.

I actually think Winks has been good so far. Probably because I'm watching on my own, in the pub and have avoided this thread for the

Spot on about both really. Alli isn't a midfielder, this is all he can do in midfield. Come very deep pointlessly and then ultra slow move the ball again. Really we should just have him playing as the Number 9 just staying around the penalty area with the other two either side of him.

Winks was one of our better players, one of the few playing at any intensity, moved the ball ok, and won the ball back countless times and has by and large held down the middle of the park for us. But the bandwagon is well and truly under way and he isn't 50 million pound super signing so the narrative is set and the actual football performance doesn't matter.....

Can't help but think Sessegnon is wasting this run of games to make an impact. He plays far to safe.

yeah, would be nice to see him run with the ball or attack the full back once in a while, don't think i've seen him break out into a full on sprint yet.

If we were to actually score a goal it would be because of mistake made by them rather than we'd gone all creative.

I wish we’d just be pumping minutes into Lo Celso. He might not turn out to be the answer but there’s more chance of him improving than there is of this lot improving out of the blue, after 12 months of dross.

I’d prefer to see him play shit in the hope he can improve than watch a load of these plodders ambling around.

Really losing interest in watching Spurs this season.

We urgently need upgrading Alli and Moura.
It’s fucking boring isn’t it mate.
we have a weird set of players. We have no real creative midfielders apart from Eriksen who is leaving soon, we have no out and out wingers who can beat a man and deliver the ball, we have no strikers apart from Kane, we have no fullbacks who can reliably create anything and then we have a lot of niche n.o10 and RAM/LAM more central attacking tucked in sort of players like dele,lo celso, lucas, son so it’s quite predictable and boring football a lot of the time.

we need to settle on a formation and if that is 4-2-3-1 then we need some serious upgrades like you say to the likes of dele and Lucas and also full backs, CDM and a back up striker for Kane.

i miss the likes of bale Lennon modric van deer vaart who could create and run at teams and I miss the likes of Robbie Keane, Defoe etc who could score or create something out of nothing, sure son, eriksen and Kane can do that at times but eriksen is leaving and other than those guys none of our other options are consistent or good enough going forwards.

look at Liverpool for example they have threats from everywhere:
robbo and Trent can cross dribble pass and shoot
VVD can score from set pieces
henderson, ox, milner, winjaldyum can all create and score
salah and mane have so much pace and ability, can beat men and score all types of goals and are so much more consistent that our front players.
firminiho links play so well and scores goals, origi is a strong option off the bench.

We need serious upgrades.
