Let's be honest, unlikely we'll make many signings in Jan. If you had to pick one, which would it be?

For me it has to be RWB as so fundamental to Conte's system. Emerson is terrible, Doherty is okay but an attacking RWB with real athleticism would make a real difference and i can live with Romero Dier Davies and Lenglet at CB

For me - sell Sanchez and Tanganga and get the best central CB we can find - and do it in 4 days.

Yes, we could use a more attacking RWB, but until we stop shipping goals for fun, it won't matter. We already have scored more goals/game than any Spurs team since the 16/17 season. Scoring is not the issue. Conceding is the current problem that must be solved.

New owners.... you can buy any player but the owners and here I'm talking Enic not Levy alone have taken as as far they want too.

I think a new CB is the most important.

If we don't find a RWB Conte could use Spence, but we don't have any other options at CB.

Start building a strong back line and let Kane, Son, Kulusevski and Richarlison get on with getting forward.

LWB, LCB, RCB, RWB

our defensive record is worse than Everton’s and they look doomed.

our ‘defence’ is an utter disgrace and I can’t be bothered to watch the first 45 mins of our matches anymore as the players don’t seem to realise the first half actually counts

Our midfield is horrible, we probably have the worse midfield engine in League. People want to strengthen the defence but when the defenders have the ball no one in the midfield is actually good enough to want the ball off them and be proactive with it on a consistant basis whats the point.

We went for modric to eriksen to no one.

My expectations for the January window were a RWB and a CB. If i could only choose one i am leaning towards a CB.
Agree with wing backs being pivotal to Conte's system but at the moment Romero is our only competent CB.
We have neglected that area for so long we probably need a complete revamp so it is important we get the ball rolling in Jan.

I hope for a CB and a rwb and if we want to be really spoiled an attacking mid and wing forward, in reality I expect a couple of makeshift "these will do for now" signings, that will be a bit meh and only prolong the agony, have lost all faith in ENIC doing what needs to be done.

LCB for me. Lenglet feels stop gap and Davies not really up to it

I feel as though if our back three were as good as our front three a lot of our current problems would be solved.

Spurs women are breaking the British transfer record to sign a striker (from Chelsea) because they are really struggling to score.

Imagine that to fix the defence for the men's team !

To answer the question - I think a top class CB is the priority. But I don't want us to bother buying if it isn't a very clear upgrade. As somebody else said you would think for the combined value of Sanchez and Tang + perhaps £20m extra we should be able to find somebody world class

At RWB Doherty is quite competent for now and I look at Spence and really think there's an absolute star there so we should have 1/2 sorted long term if he can gain Conté's trust (not assuming anything)

The links so far would suggest CM (and not an AM) and RWB are the two priorities for January. I would prefer a CB to a CM - but it’s sounding like an upgrade on Skipp/Sarr is a priority for Conte.

Without a doubt CB.

Atleast in RWB area we are well covered.

At CB, all it takes is a team without Romero, to see how mid table we are.

The central CB. I think we will be alright with Llenglet/Davies at LCB. Romero I'm not concerned about and I think Sanchez is a capable deputy at RCB. CCB is a disaster though with Dier's form.

The other player would be a creative central midfielder, just a different option to what we have.

I'd say midfield is probably the last place we need to be looking at.

CB, rwb and someone that can cover for Deki.
In all honesty, I could probably live without a rwb because although their quality may be questionable, we already have three at the club.
Unless we're planning for the arrival of Southgate?! ?

Gotta be a CB first, someone with a bit of pace, the ability to pass, and some composure would be nice!
