Jose Mourinho has admitted it will not be easy to play in three competitions "without a striker" after failing to land cover for Harry Kane in the January window.

He must have realised this was going to be an issue before he joined seeing as the striker problem hasn't been sorted in countless windows previously.
It's going to be business as usual muddle through and hope son or moura can suddenly find a way of becoming a front man and not get injured in the process, without getting a striker I assume that playing the occasional long ball is now out of the question.

It's cool though - he's not moaning though - just stating fact.

He's got something up his sleeve surely, I remember that wink he gave the press when he stole Willian from under AVB's nose all those years ago.
Come on Jose

Phenomenally bad if we don't get a striker over the line.
To expect to fight on three fronts, from now till at least April without at least one, is shockingly bad judgement by the club.

Please address these concerns to the financial department at Tottenham Hotspur football club they will be happy to help.

It's all well and good saying we want to look to the future, but in football the future is primarily next season, where we now have a reduced chance of qualifying for the CL because we've failed to recruit adequately. Our top players aren't getting any younger and 'the future' in football is only ever realistically a few months away.

How could let Llorente go without bringing someone in as cover. Ridiculous to be in this position.

Absolute priority was a striker, total negligence to not get someone at least on loan. We need the big man option, especially under Mourinho

Honestly, this is just mismanagement.

The issue started awhile back. Even going into a new season with just Kane. Is like having only Hugo in our squad as a GK.

Just poor from Levy, he keeps doing this every time. Support the manager and give him the tools he needs. Is not like the manager is asking you to buy Messi or Ronaldo. Just buy a striker as the squad needs it.

Erm unless we tried and nothing suitable or better than we have is available or willing. Does it have to bad a 'bad judgement' conclusion or should we have signed Andy Booth from Sheffield which would still be criticised by you?

Our scouts must be shit if they can't identify someone who can do a decent job up front. And as for the Kane "always first choice" argument, it would be nice if he had some competition from a versatile forward who can play across the front. And we don't even know if Kane will be the same player after his hamstring rupture.

It was a great interview he looks like he is really enjoying the job, if you see the bit before the interview where his predicting the questions is funny. He looks like his genuinely having fun, and planning for the future.

We have made good signings last two windows next season we will be strong again.

Er, did you see the list of players that had been mentioned in itk?
Hardly inspiring for a side who were just quoted as the 8th richest football team on the planet.

Signing any decent striker will not guarantee us top four but it goes a long way towards trying and we left ourselves short for almost three years.
This then worsened last summer when Llorente left but you'll probably tell me the club tried then as well.

January windows are notoriously rough and hard to buy quality and we knew that in the summer, a striker should have been signed then.
We sat twiddling thumbs for three windows, whilst others got their work done.

Although we've bought well in the last two windows, bad judgement has gone on for quite a while I'd say because we now have 0 strikers and half of one after April.

I can't help feeling that Jose will regret his decision to join spurs his usual MO is to win trophies at clubs he goes to, and yet what chance has he got here when we can't even provide a striker for him this is heading for disasterville. ?
