Paul Scholes - Used to hate how violently aggressive he went into challenges like he was trying to injure the guy. But he can play footy.

Like this you mean? :)

".. and that is certainly a booking!"

Hah, do that today and you'll probably end up in court.

On topic: While I certainly don't like him and detest the club he plays for I can't help but admire Frank Lampards accomplishments as a footballer.

Oh and Ashley Cole I can agree with as he in my eyes has been in the top three left backs in the world for about 6-7 years but Terry not in a million years, very good player but as well as being an absolute scum bag he is vastly overrated by so many, his one main strength is his courage and bravery but he is not as great as many believe in my eyes.

..and a cheat.

I've tried hating Frank and Henry but they are just too urbane and charming. Although I hate their clubs I have to say that I positively like both of them as players and people. (Henry has a few points knocked off for the hand ball though).

I wouldn't say I hate the bloke per se but have a lot of respect for Ryan Giggs. He's a month older than me, I remember his debut for Man U, I was amazed someone my age was playing in the top flight. Just incredible all these years later he's still playing.

Dont want to be pedantic but i dont respect anyone I hate - not really sure how thats possible?

I can rate players as footballers/managers but hate/not respect them for their behaviour as a human being. In which case the following would be on my list:
1 - Ashley Cole
2 - Jose Mourinho
3 - Arsene Wenger
4 - Alex Ferguson
5 - Luis Suarez
6 - Mario Balotelli
7 - Carlos Tevez
8 - Wayne Rooney

All of them are great at their job but I think the way in which they behave is very poor and they are not great role models in so much of what they do (I appreciate they are a good role model in other ways).

On a different list, players who I hated but now have a lot of respect for:
1 - Tony Adams
2 - Ian Wright

Guess that shows how much my dislike for Arsenal clouds my view of people!
