Love the fact that one of the biggest gripes seems to be that not everyone in the stadium can fit into the Marketplace. As if that's the expected thing in most stadia. Shows just how quickly people's expectations adjust these days. ?
At half time there was a party going on in the market place went back up to block 252 gate and there was a party going on there too, I think there is an awful lot more beer being drunk in this new stadium than there was before:)

Think it's a joke about arsenal attendance. They say it's full but you can see lots of empty seats.
Actually the empty seats at our new stadium don't show up very much because they are so dark, I noticed it today especially when the floodlights came on.

The club advertised the stadium to fans with the idea of being able walk round to any section you want. In reality that simply isn't true. Certain sections including going to the south/north stands from the east were all closed off with stewards blocking the doors and that caused quite a few issues between fans and stewards from what I saw. It;s just going to be so busy in the concourses that moving from one stand to another at full capacity just isn't going to be feasible. Shame the club advertised it as such.

Were people standing in the Park Lane? And if so, was it an issue?

There obviously seems to be an issue with many wanting to go to the market place. I think that’s the only serious issue and one that will have to be thought through. I’m not quite sure what you were expecting to be able to do ? a quick circuit of the stadium at HT ? Clearly obvious you aren’t gonna be able to go far at HT. But I’m sure if you arrive early you’ll be able to have a mooch around. I still think there are some unfinished areas which is why the north may have been shut or it could be do because it was still a test. There will obviously be a few teething issues, but they seem incredibly minor compared to West Ham.

Yes they were all standing at the bottom of the tier, not sure if everyone higher up was standing. No issues but it just felt like being in the old Park Lane, just that we had a rail to hold onto now (which helps with the bumpy ride ahead).

Hopefully this isn't flagged as a safety issue and everyone can turn a blind eye.

Maybe take into account that the stadium wasn't actually 'fully open' because it was a test event, and things could be different when it's full capacity, perhaps?

Silly question, but would we now expect some sort of announcement, informing everyone that the stadium has passed the required tests & can now be used for all competitions ?

They did the right thing by limiting access as the marketplace was getting too busy; almost to the point where you couldn’t move.

Understandable as it was many people’s first visit (mine included) and we all wanted to see everything but 40k people can’t fit into an area designed for 17k.

I’d got there early and was able to walk the whole way around the bottom tier (may be different when away fans are there)

Think it’ll calm down after a few games and people will stick to their own areas but was impressed at how many people were there 2hrs before and still there an hour after

I wouldn't expect to hear anything.
We have already announced the Palace game, so unless we hear otherwise its now passed tests and ready.

Might calm down or prices will rise to keep the numbers down.
