Dont panic just yet. For every Man City and Chelsea there are lots of clubs who are 'gonna have loads of money pumped in' 'they'll be massive' they'll be right up there' and it never happens and all goes horribly tits up.
Plus its one thing ploughing hundreds of millions in when you know it'll guarantee success but when there are several others already doing it then thats a lot of outlay to finish 4th or 5th.
If they do it right it'll be good for them but no more than that.
If enough of these billionaires come in they saturate the league, get fed up and fk of leaving these clubs in a Leeds situation.

Obviously having the money will help them to compete and I do expect them to do so. However it took City four years for them to win the title after the buy out, and that's with less competition than there currently is.

Of course they will start to attract better players as they will pay them high salaries but City found out that it wasn't the answer originally when they went guns blazing for the likes of Robinho, Jo, etc

They signed Tevez, Adebayor, Bellamy, Toure, De Jong and a few others and still finished outside the top 4 in the second season after the takeover so I wouldn't be expecting them to break into the top 6 just yet.

I can imagine investment will elevate them to compete with Wolves and Leicester to start with and from then on they may start to threaten the top 6 but I think they've got a long way to go before they challenge.

Hilarious - so two clubs competing in the same league are owned by the same family.

Seems legit.

I’d be more worried if I was Arsenal especially if they win Europa. Serious chance they could get gobbled up by Leicester wolves Everton and now Newcastle. Actually always amazes me Mansour bought City with United on doorstep. Newcastle Leeds Villa even West Ham seem muvh better buys.

Good news for the Geordies and for the competitiveness of the Prem is this happens. With Wolves and Leicester going in the right direction, it could be hard enough getting in the top 6 next season, let alone top 4.

All those worrying, if dude wass worth the money claimed. There are three bigger clubs that he could buy (and not feel the expense). Chelsea and Man United and us. You don't buy Newcastle for any reason other than being a fan or they are cheap.

Could say the same about City with the state they were in though no?

No. Manchester is a huge market, easily accessible and proper rivalry with a powerhouse down the road.

Yeah but they are also straddled with an absolute moutain of debt, yes they are a very profitablable club but that amout of debt is bound to be offputting.

No wonder Rafa has not gone anywhere. He'll be Summer shopping soon.
A ruthless and tight owner is one thing, but if the new owners are a bit dodgy then I think he is more likely to be off. (Although he did go to chelsea for a season, so maybe there is some flexibility here)

He was linked with Liverpool apparently but he couldn’t provide proof of funds/potential deposit.

Anyway, it’ll be another terrible thing for football. I genuinely wouldn’t want it at our place, at all.

Another club who will sadly ruin their tradition. Please let us never go down this route. Really dumbs down achievement imo.

Tradition of doing nothing?

I’m sure like city fans they’ll absolutely love it if they end up being successful ??

I'm sure they'll announce a new kit/stadium record breaking sponsorship deal with some Dubai company that's also owned by the same family.
Totally all above board
