I wouldn't be surprised if Bayern go grovelling back to JN given that Tuchel hasnt exactly been a success and may well lose the Bundesliga. Ive seen more surprising things happen.
Come on we all know Bayern will price us out of getting Nagelsmann and replace Tuchel with Slot

Just want to say JN may have the biggest stock rise of a sacked manager in world football history.

His Bayern were nearly 10 points clear, top scorers in CL, in every competition, had only lost twice all season, thoughts of the treble. Tuchel has been appointed and they’ve crashed out of both the CL and Cup and now have totally fallen apart in the Bundesliga, with Dortmund currently playing to win the title, a stunning collapse from Bayern.

It could be that he’s got his eye set on Madrid or perhaps wants to wait for the solid gold offer from a super club. He’s that caliber of manager and has the standard to prove it. The negatives that come with it? he’s got the ego and the immediate need for results and backing.

Slot, on the other hand? He’s been dealt shoestring budgets and tough conditions his whole career. In phlegmatic Dutch fashion he’ll come on over and get on with it, focus on continuous improvement, total acceptance of the process.

his personality type and profile is much less volatile than JN’s imo. And patience is exactly what this club needs.

There are two directions - one, continue to be a shite knock off of Chelsea (because let’s be honest, that’s what we are - an aging squad, putting in band-aid win now managers - only with half of their budget)

or, a radical change to data-focused long term recruiting, Brighton on steroids. This is Slot’s direction and imo it’s our ONLY choice.

Not convinced there is much behind that latest story of us talking to Nagelsmann again tbh. Signs are Slot is really on keen on coming here and who can blame him. Maybe we feel things are not moving as quickly as we want due to Feyenoord playing hardball and the Nagelsmann story coming out could just be to nudge Slot and his agent to do make more of a push from their end to get this done.

There's a lot of work to be done this summer and Levy wont want a repeat of summer 2021 where after messing about for so long we ended up with Nuno on the 30th of June. He is already getting it in the neck and if this drags out will just give people another stick to beat him with. He'll want someone in place at the absolute latest by first/second week of June you'd think.

Bayern were second when he was sacked, and had won only 5 of the previous 10 games played before said sacking. He had also lost 3 times in the league.
For Bayern that isn't particularly great.

10 points clear of what? They were 2nd when he was sacked. 1 point off top with 1 game in hand.

So when you say JN’s Bayern team we’re ‘nearly 10pts clear when he was sacked’ what you actually mean is they were 1 pt behind? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
and ‘lost twice all season’ you actually mean 3 times in the league.

Sorry I just have to fact-check these know it alls on here sometimes 😆😉

And this is the stuff of note from it:

Slot has a £6million release clause in his contract that can be triggered next year - and it will cost Tottenham around £10 million to prise him away from Feyenoord this summer.

When 'next year' is mentioned, is that 2024... or after June 30th this year, when effectively the football contract periods run from/until.

Into the last year or last but one year after June 30th and compensation would be less. I don't think we're talking calendar years here.

Think it has to be 2024 surely - it's certainly heavily implied that way. There would've been a million articles about the clause kicking in on June 30th this summer otherwise.

Bayern were second behind Dortmund when JN was sacked.
Edit - already pointed out.

I am at a stage now, dont care whom we get as manager in the shortlist of Slot , JN, Amorim, DeZerbi....as long as we get one ASAP.

We need the manager & start planning for next seaosn, from who has to be moved, who has to be retained , which kind of players manager needs.

Every week we delay, more trouble we will be, to get the rebuild done.

If we want slot we’ll get him
At this point I’m not convinced Levy knows what he wants. It’s why we need to finalise a DoF ASAP. IMO If Nagelsmann and Gallardo are not in the running then we may as well just get Slot. I’m not tactically convinced by Amorim, no chance RDZ leaves (he’s already talking enthusiastically about next season and will likely relish being in Europe) and I’m not particularly wild on Postecoglou or Enrique.

I’d still love us to get Nagelsmann but I think that race is run. Slot is the best realistic pick of the rest imo so we may as well commit.

My narrative is far more important than these facts.

Yeah, if it was true then more journos definitely would have jumped on the story by now.

Duncan Castles strikes again lol
He was probably guessing based on Ancelotti yesterday confirming he’s staying with RM next season. Essentially it leaves Nagelsmann with very few options this summer so he’s probably just putting two and two together and making 5.

I'd love JN - if I thought DL would really back him.

So I'll slowly convince myself Slot is actually the superior choice, all things being equal, to mask the pain and frustration of the club being saddled with um, 'suboptimal' ownership. And, he's a very good choice tbf.
