Interestingly, Maddison & Eze are also their clients. Worthing keeping an eye on as the window develops.CAA Base runs this club now. Sad state of affairs!

Why is everyone assuming the contract length is the clubs decision, when he's only signed a rolling one year contract with Celtic? Why does the fact it’s only a 2 year deal fill me with the vibe that they don’t really believe in this appointment and they’ve given him a short contract just in case Really hope he gets properly backed like EVERY manager we have deserves
Completely agree mate.Tbh I bet anyone we brought in would be given the same. Levy has been burnt too many times recently that I don’t think he would even commit to Pep beyond 2 years. Plus there’s an option. Personally I just read it as Levy being aware of the reality of the situation.
Ange is on a rolling one year contract at Celtic. I imagine a two-year+option is a big commitment to him, cutting both ways. While it might be tempting to commit to a big long contract after the Conte debacle I do think that a 2+1 deal suits both parties quite nicely.
I do, however, think it's important that we commit to extend the deal earlier, or offer a new contract if he does sufficiently well in his first season.
Thankfully don't get the vibe this will be anything like the Conte situation in which we were clearly in a standoff over his contract for the best part of a year. He's just so fundamentally different to Conte - hard to imagine that situation arising again.
100% agreed, with good scouting, I've no issue with it; just poorly worded, I meant don't bring Hart and CCV back
Also a good point as I said earlier he might not have wanted longer than 2 which is fair enough, 2 years with a 1 year option is a decent middle ground. Why is everyone assuming the contract length is the clubs decision, when he's only signed a rolling one year contract with Celtic?
Because everything has to be Levy/the club's fault..Why is everyone assuming the contract length is the clubs decision, when he's only signed a rolling one year contract with Celtic?
Would both be absolutely brilliant in a big Ange 4-3-3.Interestingly, Maddison & Eze are also their clients. Worthing keeping an eye on as the window develops.
There are 2 types of month, a calendar month and a 4 week month, one has 12 months in the year, the other has 13 months in the year! What is the 13th month? Would a 13 month contract ever end? Anyone care to share?
I think his performances in Europe were the difference for me. Couple that with the fact he wasn't at the biggest club in a stronger league in Holland and had to completely rebuild after selling half the team the season before. Now this doesn't mean he's a better coach than AP(we simply don't know), but we have far more to go on and for me that made him a much safer bet.
Its baffling. I totally understand the skepticism regarding his CV and the step up to the Premier League (of which I have absolutely no doubt he can and will make with aplomb). But the weight of videos, podcasts, interviews posted in here surrounding his character and ethos - its just exactly the sort of human should all want in the Manager role for Tottenham Hotspur. How can anyone not support this guy? I can understand its an underwhelming appointment but to not actually get behind him? People need to get over themselves. He's such a likeable guy who has worked damn hard to get this far. I mean he deserves our full support. There should be no pressure put on him by the fans. If things don't go well then aim any discontent towards Levy. If he's out of his depth then its fully down to us for hiring him. I really hope it works for him but also for us. I'm sure some people have forgotten how to support their club.
This :
I think some just want to throw a tantrum that Levy isn't giving us a big shiny toy.Its baffling. And the last time he stayed at a club team longer than 2 seasons was Brisbane Roar from 09-12. He might just not like committing to long term deals. Why is everyone assuming the contract length is the clubs decision, when he's only signed a rolling one year contract with Celtic?
I don't know whether or not Levy's hand is in this. But didn't he recently state that the two year contract is quite common though (Oxford Union speech?).Also a good point as I said earlier he might not have wanted longer than 2 which is fair enough, 2 years with a 1 year option is a decent middle ground.
The difference will also be that he will be delighted to have this opportunity and will talk proudly about us and the club etc compared to Conte who made out he was doing us a favour so it’ll feel like Big Ange is committed whereas it never felt like Conte properly was and we all knew how it would end.
