I have my doubts about big Ange due to his lack of experience in the PL. Winning the SPL with Celtic is not a winning endorsement as the SPL has been a two horse race for years. However if he gets the Spurs job I will support him.
I doubt that winning the SPL is what got him the job. Would hope it’s more to do with his coaching abilities, motivational abilities, philosophy, hunger etc. You’d hope that there are people at our club that know more about these coaches than just their record (although not totally convinced we do. Would hope Munn knows all about him at least)

OK, in a fit of most unusual niceness, which has me making an appointment with the Doctor, all of the idiots who got themselves excluded from this thread have been allowed back in.

See how kind I am.

The fact that i'm about to whack the lock button with my hampton has got nothing to do with it.

Finally relented and started watching these videos. Few minutes into video one (the pre-lunch speech to the Australian national side) and I am all in already.

I get the criticism and scepticism, but I think we need someone who can galvanise the squad. They have been beaten down by managers, media and fans alike. They need someone to pick them up again after the past few years.

Is this ITK for Ndombele's future at the club???

can those of us who got banned from the transfer rumours forum get unbanned too? Especially those of who were banned something like 5 years ago for their first and only offence which was so mild that it only happened to be posting a picture in a thread…

Okay fuck it! I want this guy to come here and take the club by storm. Make me forget about Poch, by bringing back the entertaining competitive football again.
Something that worries me tho is what players he will be able to attract? 🤨
He’ll attract the players who buy into his ethos and want to play for him.

Apologies if this has already been posted. It’s a great interview (he seems to love doing them) as he speaks about loving coming into clubs that require rebuilds. But he has his demands on who he wants in the transfer market. If we don’t do what he demands (within reason) then there’s zero point appointing him because it won’t work. I’ve moved on from concerns about him coming in, he obviously has ability, to concerns about Levy. Hopefully having Munn in the building will help fight his corner.

So I have a Celtic mate (I know I know)..

He’s convinced a striker like Kane won’t work with Postecoglu’s system. Says he likes a fast, agile and hard working CF that will press like a maniac and we’d be better off selling him and building a young energetic front line. Will be interesting to find out what we do here

Saw this on twitter earlier -
Celtic are set to lose 2 of their Japanese Bhoys for less than £10 million after it was revealed that they both have transfer clauses in their contract relating to the EPL: Kyogo is believe to be £6million and Hatate £3millio

So maybe Kane doesn't play as the 9 in his system and somebody like Richarlison or Son does? Kane has been dropping a little deeper already...I don't see this as "Kane won't work for his system"...any coach in the world would tinker their system to get the best from kane..

Care to explain to the meeker and milder amongst us what a hampton is?

Did we attract world class players under Poch? or did we unearth gems like a Dele? I'm honestly okay with unearthing gems at this point if they actively want to be here.

I believe Postecoglou turned down Brighton's offer last year, and they seem to have the Midas touch at the moment. Reassuring to know he was considered.
I spent some time reading the Celtic forum last few days and they seem to say it was the other way around in that Ange was keen on the move but even tho Brighton had him on their list they preferred RDZ. Who knows if its true, as has been mentioned Gallardo was also supposedly one of their top choices but wouldn't move mid season. The only line the club has ever said was that RDZ was their top choice from the get go.

Tottenham Hotspur are close to sealing the appointment of Ange Postecoglou after Celtic granted the London club permission to speak to the head coach.

Tottenham are believed to be willing to let go as many as seven first-team players, led by captain Hugo Llloris and Ivan Perisic, in what could be a big summer of change.
The futures of Davinson Sánchez and Ryan Sessegnon are also in doubt, while Spurs have decided not to sign Arnaut Danjuma, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the club, while Clément Lenglet may be allowed to return to Barcelona.
Bids, should they be forthcoming, could also be listened to for Ben Davies or Eric Dier.

Spurs will attempt to sell Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilón and Harry Winks, who spent last season out on loan, but have not made a decision on the future of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

I’d suggest your mate doesn’t really know what he’s talking about. The most advanced striker is just the trigger man for the counter press. He’s very rarely gonna win a turnover, but he gets the ball played to the FBs or pivots where the press springs. Kane’s more than capable of doing that job.
I think you might be wrong on this because if you watch Celtic play Kyogo is the main striker and he works his socks off trying to win the ball back and does start a lot of attacks with his pressing along with the two wingers.
