Di Zerbi being to difficult doesn't really surprise me much. And honestly im not really sure why he'd come.

Something else could be another short term option rather then a long term one. We already heard talk about Poch coming in temp, even if its not him there may be someone else.

Here is me, falling behind on my work, as I keep coming here, and not doing my job 🤣

I'm not sure any manager will come mid season whilst there is something to play for.

Based on matt laws list, the following would look at spurs as a step up:

Roberto Di Zerbi
Ange Postecoglou
Thomas Frank

Anyone outside of the big six would see Spurs as a step up.
Do you think Matt Law knows who is on the list? They are just the obvious candidates imo.

Like I keep saying this is and has been an extremely likely scenario for ages, it may have been brought forward, but we still should have been beyond the making lists stage.

As far as I'm aware Kane was one of the key players to tell Levy that Poch needed to go at the end.
Didn't Kane spend time at Poch's house with one or two others after he was sacked? Dier also went I think. Would take a proper conniving person to get someone sacked and then go to their house to console them..

Tuchel I’m guessing.

Levy is probably shitting it about top 4
100%

There's no way we get a coach who is already in a job right now. Especially Amorim or De Zerbi, the former still in EL and the latter has only been at Brighton since September so will be advised to stay where he is until at least the summer - and he has the FA Cup to play for.

If it's something they are trying 'to pull off' you can rule out Gallardo because that's probably a bit more straight forward.
Poch would be easy to get in for a meeting/interview.

So you are looking at trying to convince coaches to come who out of work and that leaves Tuchel who is probably wanting to wait to see what happens in the summer.

It also sounds like they are trying to make this really seamless.

Conte is fired, new coach is announced immediately.

Like when Jose came in.

On Tuchel - My wife is a Chelsea supporter so I saw a fair bit of them under Tuchel. They were a very dominant front foot side but quite dull to watch. That said they've had issues for a while now in terms of finding regular goalscorers. I always suspected if you put Kane and Son in Tuchel's Chelsea they would have been title winners. Lukaku just couldn't cut it. I certainly wouldn't be against him coming in if he fancied it.

One major issue if he came in though would be the chelsea stigma. Wouldn't take long before certain parts of the fanbase start bringing it up. He wouldn't get much patience.

Still think Poch is the man if we can do it, just feels the right fit for what we need right now.

What I will say is that the list looks a lot better than it did the Nuno summer, so that's something of a positive.

How it seems our search is going.

Do you prefer attacking football? Defensive football also works
352, 343, 433, 4231, 442? it doesn't matter which you prefer
Plenty of experience? No experience also works
Won trophies elsewhere? or a project manager?

If any of these describe you then..

Oliver Glasner >>> Tottenham is very hot in the german media right now... Bild, ARD, Kicker and so on are all on the same page... might just be a story of course. But they claim we have made contact.

He also falls out with everyone. Everyone.

He'll be reciting Conte's press-conference lines and smashing up those Hotspur Way pillows by Christmas

Apparently Kane was Tuchel's striker choice in 2021
